Just wanting to know if this is possible, since a bug revealed that a demonic fortress is right under a human fortress, and I would like to embark over it.
-
I just tried and it seems that original embark anywhere works on the .19

have fun and if you can upload the world? I would love a chance to settle somewhere like that
-
Thanks! I'll upload the save later, but I hope you don't mind having to face modded hellbees!
-
you sir have yourself a deal, have !!fun!!
-
Hmm. I cannot seem to get it to work, what did you do to set it up?
-
I extracted it into my dwarf fortress folder and then upon the location selection screen I launched the embark.exe and it instantly patches dwarf fortress and you are able to embark anywhere. Just in case here is the one I used with .19 which worked perfectly

Thanks, that one works.
-
So these humans and these goblins are on one site? Are they allies or are they at each other's throats?
-
Demonic fortress, not dark fortress. Mildly different ;)
-
OH demonic fortress? I thought it was dark fortress, well that changes everything D:
-
uhh Darius also has Embark Anywhere in his Dfusion which was updated for 19.

Thank armok, i really want to start embarking once again on top of awe inspiring pyramids of cold DEATH.
Scratching out a living in the forests or grasslands just made me feel like a dirty ELF
edit: now i just need to figure how to configure worldgen to give me some nice named mountains with a huge elevation differences between the peak and the edge of the embark
edit edit: Fail, can't set max z levels past 400 (requires minimum) 2900 ish for 29000 feet
edit edit edit: erm, well if i can push worldgen to give me sites like this i might be able to manage higher peaks.;

if only it wouldn't crash on embark :(
