Title: I'm making a game, you're telling me what to put in it.

Greets,

I'm making a little game, here's a screenshot:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Not much to look at, huh? That's because you'll be telling me what to put in it.

Rules:

I'm using Blender, I'll post executables at intervals but more frequently just the .blend file. You can get the latest version of Blender from http://www.blender.org/ (http://www.blender.org/).

Go!

Zombies, every game needs zombies.

That looks like a perfect start for a game featuring Q*bert.  To bad he's probably copyrighted.  :(

Steampunk robots, remnants of an ancient civilisation.

I would recommend making that block the main character. He wants to grow up to be a fireman.

Make the block a communist. Then make him be a wonderful person, and sell the finished game to rednecks. $10mil says you don't have all your teeth when you come back.

The bush waddles off of the block

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

spent most the time animating it.  I had modeled the zombie but didn't save and crashed, so that will come next.

That bush needs a sword.  A flaming sword.

Okay, if the main character is a bush, there's no way you cannot have the automatons I suggested.

Zombies, they don't walk.

The block must have a catch-phrase.

Too funny  :D

Call it "dead men can't jump", and the/a goal of the game is to get the zombies to the houses.

Colour it Marsh.
Also, make the trees even bigger and give them mangrove-like roots.

Oh god, playing this will feel like doing drugs.

Make a panda with sun glasses wielding a Mac 10 (http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/7/75/IngramMAC10.jpg/400px-IngramMAC10.jpg) and smoking a joint.

You must visit houses. There, you will get a request to read runes off a certain pillar (like in the screenie.) You have to do this and return to the house while avoiding the zombies. Then you get another request. For each request you fulfil, the zombies become more numerous.

Oh god those house-trees are amazing.
Make the game take place on a giant 12-track mixing board.  The player can interact with the land to change the background music.

Make the block a creature that follows you around and fights zombies for you.

those are well composed trees!

Please add mendelian genetics so you can breed the zombies together to get baby zombies that resemble their parents.

Define "Game". Is the game that you add things we suggest? Or do you make a game we can play later?
If it's the second:
Make more blocks, place different ground tiles on different blogs, make the blocks capturable and let the zombies storm the blocks via balloons :P
The Treehouses (Housetrees?^^) could be living places for a population.

edit: okay just saw your post about a release when there is something to do... so my post fits even more :)
Maybe your population consists of intelligent bushes ;)

haha

I let the thread die so I could catch up on all the requests, then I got sidetracked.  Last thing I did was the steampunk robot:

This week is bad for me so I can't promise any updates but I liked this idea so I'll try to turn it into something playable.

Nice bots :)

The houses should spew magma from chimneys if you take too long to fulfil a request.  The magma kills you, or any un/living creature it touches.

The easiest way to simulate magma would probably be using metaballs (if you can use them in the game engine.)  Failing that, shape keys and set paths would be the way to go.

It needs blackjack and hookers.

The waling bush could be a hooker.

Give it physics and some sort of giant clockwork mechanism that is a doomsday clock. When it counts down, you die! (P.S. The doomsday clock should be able to function in real life)
