Title: Allied Siege Breakers

It would be cool if sometimes if the civs you've built a good rapport with occasionally sent allied troops to help break a siege.

Yeah, that would be pretty neat, possibly you could even ask them for weapons or other materials, but a reputation bar would have to be implemented however

Nice idea, however it should be connected to the seasonal traders, they are (for now) the only people who can carry news of your fort back home. In the end, this means that if you are sieged in winter, you have to wait until autumn (or spring if you befriended the tree-huggers) and then some more time, depending on how far the civ's base is. It could also depend on the ruler of a nation (a use for those random likes/dislikes), so if you barely trade with them/give offerings/don't offer him things he likes (he is ruler, can be she) then he won't help.
...I think I got a bit carried away there, nonetheless, I like the idea

I think this would tie in well with something like more protracted multi-year sieges where hostiles actually build encampments and ramparts around your fort (as opposed to simply being larger bands of the same thugs as ambushers). Otherwise, as was mentioned, news would have to travel magically for someone to even make it to your base before the siege gets bored and leaves.

I think this would be a good thing to add in after sending units off-map is implemented.  That way you can send off a lone rider for help, have him ride for three days and three nights, and return with the mighty human army when you're on the brink of defeat.
