I've decided to stop filling the happy thread with screenshots of this game, and will dump them all here instead, with my comments.

All this time, when Gig was calling her a cow, I never realized...

Really you never noticed that?

I will say that the main story isn't that good... but the Demon Story is actually quite a bit better.

I really wanted to get into this game but the battle system turned me off. So boring when there's no real reason to have more than 1 squad (except sending others out as cannon fodder, of course).

pfff.... as a shining force veteran, this suits me perfectly.

Early game if your not overleveling more then one squad helps quite a bit.

One of the GREATEST flaws with this game is its Newgame+... in that it doesn't let you keep the characters.

It is the major reason why I stopped playing the game after beating it twice (technically three times)

That's actually pretty standard for Nippon Ichi games.

Disgaea was like that too.

and it makes sense, when you think about it. They join your party for story related reasons.

Yeah but out of every game this one actually had a pretty good excuse for keeping along the characters. HECK two characters you CAN keep from new game to new game (even getting multiples of these unique characters).

Also in Disgaea (1-3) you got all your main characters REALLY fast and the bonus ones stuck and generally speaking there was no way NOT to have them with you. (Heck Makai Kingdom, which did have Newgame+, you kept all your characters with you as well)

In Soul Nomad not only can is mess up quite a bit of work with party management... but characters can be gained for VERY short periods of time, gained WAY later, or not at all.

She's a support unit. she does a dance and raises the attack of the other units in the team.

It's kinda of like disgaea's archers, large breasts get in the way of the bow when their aiming, so they evolved smaller ones.
