Me and Umiman had a game earlier (he won) and will be doing so again. It would be pretty cool if some of you other dwarfy people would like to join us.
Things you will need
Civ IV with the Beyond the Sword expansion, patched all the way up to 3.19
Hamachi
Something to play the game on (I recommend a computer of some description)
The snack and/or beverage of your choice
A brain
If anyone wants to play but doesn't have/can't afford the game, feel free to drop me an email and we'll see if that can be worked around.
For those that are interested; would you prefer to play vanilla or the Fall from Heaven 2 mod?

I have it, but unfortunately its not a legitimate version. Does Hamachi completely work around that? If so i'd be up to play a game.

Hamachi basically acts as a fake LAN, so you'll be fine. What patch version are you running?
E: you can check through the game itself if unsure.

I'm working, and in france, so could play from now, during 6 hours, or during the week-end....
Also, never played online, and not played for long (tried CivV since, but ... meh ...).
PS: and i've got the 3.5 Go to DL again ^^'

I'm just across the channel myself (UK) so it shouldn't be too hard. I figure we can arrange a time and date once we get a few people interested.

I would be interested, and in a similar time zone ( italy) so it shouldn't be a problem.
Fall from heaven gets my vote, should be rather interesting.
I am not sure if I can join however, recently I tried to use hamachi and it stubbornly refused to work. Which is strange since a few months ago it worked perfectly.

Do you use Steam or AIM or MSN or anything?
If so, we can have a bash at getting it working for you now.

The latest version can be downloaded here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=308020
Grab that and put 'patch o' and the media pack (linked to in the same post) on top of it.
'Patch p' (the unofficial one) can be obtained from here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=419634
The default installation path should be Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods. There's no need to overwrite any files to use mods in Civ IV.

Would like to join in, but I only have basic CivIV, no mods, no Hamachi, or anything else that would be good for playing online. I'm posting to watch however, as CivIV is quite fun. :)

It was a good start yesterday, and we may continue tonight, in FFH.
Perhaps another game, in vanilla, for those who don't have BeyondTheSword, or aren't in Europe ?

I might be interested in playing sometime, I have all the expansions, live in the UK.
There is a B12 steam group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/dwarfortress) with fairly active chat you could use to organise and get some more players.

There's a game in progress at the moment. If people could post their general availability, then I can try to work out some good times to play when this one is finished.

That's kinda the point though. It'll take twice as long to finish each of them if there are two going simultaneously.
That said, there do seem to be a fair amount of people interested in a Vanilla game. Why don't you guys (those that aren't currently playing FfH) arrange a game amongst yourselves and we can have a massive one when we're all finished?

We started playing 4 days ago, and played twice. I can play the other days.
Even better, Andrea an me played a quickgame, one evening, and it did not slow our game.
Who's up for a game tonight ?
If either Andrea or LordCooper isn't, what would the others want to play ?
