By the way don't go into the caverns again.
ever.

Still busy with work, but this makes me very curious :D

Reporting back soon (with notes?)

Cool. Notes -> if you want to, but would be nice.
We forgot them in the first years, so there's no real dwarven story (yet).

The cavern dwelling beast is bound to be one of the first antagonists however, since it manages to food-poison Overseers.
This aggression will not stand.

so this is dead huh?

No it's definitely not dead!

I was very busy with work the past week , so no time for *fun* or forum-lurking.

Go ahead and play the next year. It would be convenient to say so on this thread when someone starts with which year to avoid parallel plays. A short summary of events afterwards would be nice as well.

Having said that, i would very much like to play again in a future year (after others) as well, for the same reason as yours: to see what happened :)

EDIT: It stays first come, first serve, just announce you want to pick next year and play. If you wait too long with actually playing when it's your turn - say... 2 days without further notice - it's free for anyone else to pickup where the fort was.

Errrr, quite the mistake ...

SAVE (re-uploaded): http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10203

OSX version for .40.19 crashes too.

Recompiling in QtCreator fixed it.

Shipped qt frameworks were 64-bit.
Because Urist McBook was released from The Plains of Manufacturing in an Age Before Time, `uname -a` ended in "i386" and inconsistent address line lengths were smashing Urist McTherapist' syscalls into gore.
Urist McTherapist gives in to pain!
Urist McTherapist falls over.

Thanks for response, sorry for the noise.

Hmm. Which was the latest version working for you?

Latest was pre-40.X   ~ april this year, i guess. I removed the older DF and utils, so i'm not sure.
(I have not used any DT on the 40.X series)

OSX version for .40.19 crashes too.

Try deleting /Users/(your_name)/.config/UDP Software/Dwarf Therapist.ini

Thanks for your response :)
Deleting this file didn't help unfortunately, DT still crashes immediately on startup.

Our military and defenses are still rather pathetic, but we have a hospital, working cloth industry and magma forges.

Sorry for the delay. I had some problems opening the save. Using lazynewbpack with dfhack preinstalled seemed to do the trick :)

Now playing!

21 dwarves already, bedrooms and a well with water access to the first cavern. Nice :)

my computer can't open .rar files for some reason. Can the next player please make their file a .zip file?

Will make zipfile.

No i know how to get past first year :) , i just wanted to start a succession fort for more fun.

If i may, i'll take second year, then you're next and then it'll be first come first serve, i say:

Make it EPIC, make it inevitable ;)
