How about a Hostage Cell workshop? It needs living people(if thats possible with the reactions) and create money from selling the hostage? And there should only be a chance to get money since you don't always get the ransom.

bonecarn means that they only eat bones

I think homotherme is its temperature but im not sure

mundane means its in real life

Bonecanrs don't only eat bones, the tag makes them able to eat bones in addition to other things they can eat.

What you described could be accomplished by making a "zombie" race of creatures as the previous poster noted. For this race instead of making them a civilization because what you described is the exact opposite of a dwarf fortress civilization, you make them normal creatures that are active in all biomes and at night, and have them spawn in large clusters.

This could end up with you having skeletal zombies and zombie zombies though :)
Only if you give them the tag that allows them to be undead.

Nope. Only one civ can be active in each season, excluding the player civ itself. So you'll probably get scattered contact if you're within reach of lots of civs.
I have had 2 diffrent civs at once trading with me.
