Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: You are a Can of Soda (SG)

Vibrate some cans to try and create airwaves to emulate Rick's "What the...?" and his inarticulate terror yell. Ask the orange sodas for some advice of some other phrases they've maybe heard to try and emulate, since they're so sunny and optimistic.

Assuming that doesn't work, also try to electronically communicate with any finger nerves we've trapped and ask them and Rick's lifeblood what it's like being Rick, and if they'll carry a piece of your can network with them so you can keep talking at a distance - if they agree, create a ring around his finger.

ACT-ACT-ACT: Sell 3 Wool for 2.55 Gunieas, with .255 Gunieas going to Flabort, and 1.02 going to a1s.
WSI adds .205Gn to it's assets, and pays out the remaining .05Gn to Aywanez Enterprises. (A1SA1SA1S)

So during Late Autumn, Year 1, there was 1Gn profits for WSI. 4/5 of this belonged to WSI, and at the start of Early Winter 1/5 should have been distributed to shareholders. I had previously miscalculated that as .1Gn, but it is .2Gn going to Aywanez Enterprises.

During Early Winter, I calculate WSI made no profits, due to not receiving any dividends from VVT. At the beginning of Mid Winter, I calculate no dividends payed out.

The same applies during Mid winter, so no payout at the start of Late Winter.

Did I really miss the start of 3 turns? Yes. But outstanding payments will be given.

A1SA1SA1S: a1s, your .2Gn are being deposited right now.

Flabort on the other hand owes me some money. 0.1Gn outstanding and an additional 0.05 next turn. If this debt isn't paid, I will repossess the VVT shares I gave you.
I do indeed. Let me do some calculations.

Shortly after this information is passed around, a representitive of Weightloss Stoppers Investments approaches the CEO of Aywanez Enterprises with a copy of the above information, specifically to ask about purchasing 2 shares of Vixen Volume Trading as outlined in the above agreement.
Tell you what, I will swap you 2 shares of VVT for 10 shares of your little startup.
Technically, since you bought the VVT shares at .2Gn each, at 150% as advertised, 2 shares would only be worth .6Gn; however, the representative makes a one time deal to buy the shares at .5Gn each for 1Gn total, and trade these for 10 shares of WSI at .1Gn, or 1Gn total which will be considered WSI profits. This will not be shared until the next month, but once it is, you will be receiving .1Gn back from this. Plus, if the 2 shares in VVT earn anything, 1/5th of that.

In all, this will result in your described trade of 2 shares of VVT for 10 shares of WSI.

Assuming you do not object to this transaction, my assets have been updated as below.

Edit:
NUKENUKENUKE: Think you can put together a list of who owns what company in the OP? We can keep track of funds, but be nice to know who is what.
Not NUKE here, but I assume no. However, WSI is capable of compiling such a list, and creating a valuation of each company; in the case of where a company is not fully owned by a single representative, WSI even offers to list how much of each company is owned by which shareholders. For a fee of 0.1Gn per month, of course. And WSI even offers to make this list privately available for an increased fee of 0.2Gn per month.

Hark! A new company rears it's head on the horizon! Or, well, in the middle of the Motherlands, but it has it's sights set on the horizon. Or something like that.

The company founders release the following proclamation:

Code: [Select]
Weightloss Stoppers Investments is seeking to purchase shares in any openly traded company, up to 10% of the company, or 20% of the shares on the market, whichever is higher, for up to 150% of what was paid by the current share holder for each share.

Weightloss Stoppers Investments (WSI) is also declaring itself an openly traded company. 50 initial shares are being created, with 30 being reserved in ownership by WSI and the other 20 shares being available for purchase by the crown or other entities at a price determined by the shareholder, with the initial price determined by WSI of 0.10 Guineas. Each share entitles it's holder to a vote on certain company decisions where at least 51% of all votes must be in agreement to pass, primarily the creation of new shares and negotiation or renegotiation of contracts with other companies outside of purchase of shares in those companies.

Owning a share entitles a shareholder to a proportion of profits created by WSI, in which a profit is defined as revenue from investments and shares held by WSI, and the sale of assets by WSI. Profits will be divided per share (E.G. while WSI is divided into 50 shares, then each share enables it's holder to 2% profits), in increments of 0.05 Guineas, rounded down. Any excess profits not divisible this due to rounding will be claimed by WSI.

Shortly after this information is passed around, a representitive of Weightloss Stoppers Investments approaches the CEO of Aywanez Enterprises with a copy of the above information, specifically to ask about purchasing 2 shares of Vixen Volume Trading as outlined in the above agreement.

As far as I know, there's nothing I can do in this state. If the rulebook states otherwise, somewhere I missed, please enlighten me.

"Oh, you can follow him? Are you a tracker? Trackers are rare underground, no footprints on rock. Arquen, should we follow her to the captain, or wait for this Doron person? What a funny name, Doron. Do you suppose they're a goron? Those are rare underground too, but I met one once."

9
"Hey that rock is a different color. Are surface rocks always this colorful? Are you sure I still can't try on your boots?"

Continue with Arquen in the same direction.

(suggestion)-5 Aerplanar and -5 Aerplanar+ from the other two lanes. Apply in force of ten for the Glowing Crater, to be used sparingly for scouting and most importantly anti-air. They can make use of the fields to draw them into the slower hawks. A good experiment. Other than that this is fine. Quality will have to make up for small numbers,
I'm going to call that Plan B. It's not a bad suggestion, so I'm going to move my vote over to it.

OK, so we know the Aerplanar don't do well in the crater, so if we send ANY, we send only a couple. The Zeever spiders are designed for it, so send most. Stymph crabs may be able to distract the death gravity?

Medusa should do well in the Rivers now, and rozers are our second best bet, followed by Aer. This area also probably has the least airborne death, other than the enemy, so let's put most of the Stymphs here as we're most likely to see enemies surviving the terrain.

The bog is probably best handled by Medusa, but Aerplanars could fly over the gasses, and it's possible the Zeevers could make a little shelter against the gasses, while Rozers dig underneath.

In all, I think a balanced approach to rozers is appropriate, while we divide our remaining forces as fits their strengths and weaknesses, then fill in the gaps with grubs.

Yes water is always wet, yes I was on the boat, and yes I am wearing armor. Now then, if you don't mind...

Well then...guess it's option B.

"I don't mind walking at all. I can walk and talk at the same time. Hey, did you know this sand is the same color as my robes? Except the triangles. Is armor a normal kind of clothing?"

Archeologist follows Arquen, being naturally annoying but not on purpose, and pointing at any crabs or birds or fish he sees and asking Arquen what they are.

13
"Oh wow, I didn't realize boats could break like that. Is this what surface sand is like? It's yellower than I expected, usually the sand I find is black. May I try on your boots?"

Archeologist climbs down the rocks, swims across the water, and runs up to Arqueen.

"Wow that was wet. Is water always that wet? It's cold too. Were you on the boat too? I think I saw you there, but I don't really remember. Are your pants made of metal?"

There, hopefully that didn't take too long.

Hey, are there still slots open?
I should probably say no but I'm gonna say yes.
Aw right! I have an idea, so I'm gonna rush the sheet, before you have a chance to change your mind, but thanks. :)
