Masterwork DF / Re: Archaeology

I downloaded it last week.  The filename is "Masterwork V1.08(40.06)"  The About says "2.6.0.0"  The accompanying DF has a 2016 copyright, and the accompanying DFHack is 0.42.06-r1.

MDF 2.6.0.0

I have built an archaeologist's workshop and assigned a dwarf the milling labor, as there is no labor called "archaeology" that I can find and I seem to recall that milling was remapped to archaeology.

The dwarf is idle.  The workshop shows jobs pending.

What am I doing wrong?

Masterwork DF / DF 0.42.03 with MDF 6.22?

When I take the new DF and put it in a directory called "Dwarf Fortress" under the MDF directory and try to start MDF, I get an error that DF can't be found and it must be in the same directory as MDF.  Am I doing something wrong?  Is 42.03 compatible with MDF?

I'm afraid that's not it.  I should have quoted the code:

I've a script in the hack/scripts (add-syndromes) directory that require a file (syndrome-util) in the hack/lua directory, which in turn requies another file (utils) in the hack/lua directory.  When I try to run add-syndromes, I get the error:

...workDF V6.2\Dwarf Fortress\hack\scripts/add-syndrome.lua:6: attempt to call field 'invert' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
        ...workDF V6.2\Dwarf Fortress\hack\scripts/add-syndrome.lua:6: in main chunk
        (...tail calls...)

I've confirmed that invert is a function defined in utils.lua.

What am I doing wrong?

To test my understanding...

If I load Region 1 - Summer 205, play through two seasons, and save, the order of save directories is:

region1-sum-205 (load)
region1-aut-205 (automatic)
region1-winter-205 (automatic)
region1-sum-205 (manual save)

Alienware m17x Winsows 7 64-bit
MDF v4h

1) Running MDF triggers UAC.  MDF v4f didn't.

2)
Seasonal saves enabled.
When I save between seasons, the save doesn't happen.  There is a direction in $DF/saves called current with the timestamp of the save, but the directory is empty.  This also wasn't an issue in MDF v4f.

Any thoughts?

Only subterranean trees on the map, found one oil shale so far & looking for bituminous coal or other fuel, so fascinating map.  Tons of other minerals so far, though...

Masterwork DF / Pig Iron Not working?

Masterwork DF v4h, I had no problem with this in v4f.
Alienware m17x running Windows 7 64-bit.

I have iron bars. 
I have a magma forge that works fine, proof is that it makes iron bars.
I am not using any warrens. (I've researched this issue, yes.)
I have marble and limestone.

The magma smelter will not enable the pig iron command.  It's there in red, but won't turn green.

Am I missing something?
