I'm planning to make a mod, but I have two question.

One, where should I start to learn to mod?

Second, is is possible to make generated worlds have more desert than any other region type? Because my mod in mind is going to have a huge desert theme.

Is it possible to sell items to a store?

I'm trying to sell an item, but when I put my item up for sell, and it asks me what I want in return, I choose the item, then I click trade. But it repeatedly tells me I need to offer an item.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / A little help.

I've played DF on and off for a while, but I just recently got interested in Adventure mode. But I'm confused.

The starting guide of the Wiki doesn't really seem to give much. So I'll use this to ask questions, though as of right now I only have one or two, which I'll add more to later.

1. How come after I steal something from a town, while sneaking, and at night when no one is around, people in other towns tend to ignore me when I talk to them.

2. The whole inventory menu confuses me, how does one know when something is equipped?
