DF Gameplay Questions / Fey mood dwarf not taking materials. (Fixed?)

My fey mood dwarf (usually a farmer with no crafting skills) took a craftsdwarf workshop, grabbed 2 stacks of bones (notably 6 wombat bones first and 24 Giant Kea bones second), and now just sits at the workshop. Requests are two metal bars (dwarf's favorite is silver, and we have silver), one rock blocks (we have an excess of), logs (tons and tons), and bones (which we both have an excess of AND two stacks are tasked in the workshop).

Not sure what to do.

EDITTED: The only thing I can think of is perhaps the dwarf wanted to use a lead bar earlier but ti was used in the production of some lead buckets before being grabbed. Gonna try and smelt some galena to see - dwarf isn't taking the silver or gold bars.

SECOND EDIT: Wasn't paying attention and dwarf started construction, after having grabbed ANOTHER stack of bones, a log, one of the blocks I already had, I think, and a bar of aluminum I bought from a caravan. Not sure what happened.

Uh, hi, I have a military question, oh no!
Even though my dwarves have weapons available to them, they won't equip anything ever.
How2fix?
Img is example of what I'm talking about.
It's been this way for a few seasons.
Just assigned an arsenal dwarf; will that fix it?

Decided to Create Large Region instead of a Large Island. DF decided to have trouble placing lakes/minerals and caves. Resolved itself after a while, 28 rejects overall but usually chose to restart during lakes/minerals or caves stages instead of instantly like most.

I have not even found adamantine, nor do I know if it's even on this map.



Funny. But curious. I haven't made any adamantine, how is this possible?

If this were to happen, would we be able to get Mimosa trees? We already have real-world trees...
Now I want to mod those in or something and have a mimosa farm...
Also, if this ahppens we should include non-rec drugs, like anastasia for surgeries in the next version, or other some such practical uses. Antidepressants for the
There should also probably be negative side effects for long term use. Inhalants resulting in a deterioration of agility, due to having breath affected, or having permanent light damage to lungs,  and other such related things.

Hmmm... if my schedual were flexible enough, that might actually be a good thing considering that I have a lot of nightmares. xD
But yeah, not letting your subconcious present itself is a pretty bad idea.


PERHAPS WE CAN INTEGRATE THIS SLEEPING PATTERN AND RESULTING INSANITY TO DWARVES?

Congratulations! I'd donate, but considering my extra money comes from babysitting, I'd like to figure out a better way to aquire some extra income first. xD

I'd draw for people who donate, but then again, you already have so many! I'd rather draw on comission and donate that.

Also, polyphasic sleeping is known to drive people crazy for unknown reasons, however they tend to be undocumenteed (a case of unreliable narrator, in that they don't realize that it's driving them nuts.)

Is there any way to undo it? I wanna find my magma pipe so I can start my glassmaking but I'm really really tired of exploratory mining, and I don't like the look of the map after being revealed, plus I like finding my minerals/gems on my own. (selective cheating, I know.)
So, after I use reveal, is there any way to unreveal it?

Do farm plots ever "dry out"? Becase i've played a little bit and I don't see much of a reason to not just dig into a murky pool and farm the results, other than wanting to expand the farmland or if it actually does dry out over time.

Put the whiny immigrant and the badass woodcrafter together in a nice minifortress deep underground. Preferably, make it so it has no ceiling; just a pit leading up to the regular fortress so your dwarves can watch. It'll be the first dwarven sitcom.
