I am nearly finished in updating my lazy newb pack for 44.04. (at least for the way I play, phoebus graphics, soundsense, and Therapist)  All that's missing is getting TWBT to run. Which may be why it hasn't updated yet.. As the latest only includes 0.44.03-beta1.

When I use that, it warns me that it wasn't built for this version.  Does that mean it will use it despite the error message?  Or does that mean it did not load the .dll's?

I normally don't care about such minor versions but this version solves some important bugs I was running into.

I like the idea.  The problem being if you accidentally crack the underground in your first season it's like:

"Urist McRetard just posted a blog about your fort on the undernet"

"it was super effective!!"

every dwarf and their grandma wants to live with the cool kids...

I think I'm just going to start making new rooms with trading depots.  Every time a new Trade Caravan comes, we'll lock them in their own rooms.  See how many vaults of stuff we can accumulate :)

Clarification on naming bridge.

Foreign Dwarves have such complex names, especially compared to  "miner Lurin, Trader Khash, and Hunter Steve"  So they go to the naming bridge to get a name.  When the lever is pulled your name becomes the first thing you say afterward.  Most Dwarves choose the name "oh shiiiiiiiiiiiii"   I wonder why that is?

This is a mental image.  All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality.  It is a picture of a boat, in magma, with a whole mountain on top.  Inside the mountain is a completely self contained functioning fort.  on top of the mountain is a forest where elves live until they are captured by their dwarven masters (we needed a food source). 

This is all in a snow globe, which is on another boat, in the magma, being sailed by armok.  The blood god is laughing.  It menaces with spikes of awesome.

(my god, did we just create the first Dwarven guild?  Can single player games have guilds?!)

I think that the fluid dynamics is a much greater hog, and honestly just fixing that one issue would likely free a lot of FPS issues for most people, waterfalls on an embark can cause an immediate abandon and re-embark elsewhere, and they shouldn't.

Exactly!  I love maps with multiple rivers with lots of waterfalls They're really pretty and I want to play them :)
