Hi there,

The game I'm working on right now uses the same codepage 437 as DF.
So I thought I'd share the font I created for it here:

This tileset is gorgeous. So much so that i'd like to use it as my programming font. Would it be possible to have a ttf version of the font ?

I think they already attribute themselves bedrooms. At least that's what's happening in my fort :)

DF Gameplay Questions / Swordmaster or not ?

I've got 15 swordsdwarves. When they are in my danger room they quickly go to swordmasters but when they are not they are going back to simple swordsdwarves.
Their skills though, are not changing. Is the "master" title worth something and how come it keeps changing back and forth ?

Thx for the replies.

Alternatively I kept digging and making small corridors whenever i needed to avoid open space or exposed locations. I finally reached the magma sea without breaking into caves.

Is there a way to avoid the caverns layers to reach the magma sea ? Or do I have to send military along with my miners and hope for the best ?

So I have set 2 alert:
- Alert 1: Restricting any dwarf in a burrow
- Alert 2: With order to patrol in front of my entrance

When attacked I've put civilians Alert 1 and military to Alert 2. My military went to the burrow as if they were civilians.

Why ?

So 2 migrants have arrived but they seems stuck at their spawning point and won't move. What is going on ?

Ok for constructions.
But what will make a dwarf choose to do hauling over building a door for instance ? Is there any kind of hierarchy ?

I am not asking how to force a dwarf to do a job :P
What I would like to know is if there is a way to predict what the next job of a given dwarf would be.

What are the rules dwarves are following for chosing their next job ?
It seems sometimes that they are doing the closest job to their position. But some other times they will do task like hauling as soon as the job appears.
