DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: What's going on in your fort?

There are two forgotten beasts chillin' in my first cavern. Both of them have poisonous gas attacks, so I'm not exactly eager to send my melee dwarves down there. Is there an easy way to check if they can fly, so my marksdwarves can deal with them easily?

Linux version is here!

Nobody has updated Memory.xml for 31.16 linux yet, so you'll need to use 31.14 or earlier. Peterix is going to be working on it though so keep an eye out.

I think I've included everything you need. If not it'll be library issues that you can get by installing the right packages.

The version of OSG that I got on my linux is missing matrix functions, and as a result the skybox isn't working yet. Additionally, since I was using the builtin windows save file dialog for export, and such a thing doesn't exist in Linux, export won't work yet either. I'll probably put in a Qt dialog eventually.
Can you use a GTK+ dialog? Pretty please?

Dear Urist McPossessedChild,

Really now, the subject matter of your latest project, entitled 'The Secretive Culmination', is just inappropriate for a child your age. I mean really, creating masterpiece artworks that are 'relating to the foundation of the Beguiler of Souls by The Enjoyable Bodices of The Long Mine'?

What would your mother think?
To be fair, the kid was possessed.

I'm surprised that In the Hall of the Mountain King hasn't been mentioned yet. Programming-wise, it wouldn't be hard to mix together some MP3s of recorded drums or w/e with the actual instruments fitting to the game's mood, if you used/forked Dwarf Foreman used pure DFHack since DForeman isn't open source.

A GUI is in the early stages - it's being worked on.
How said GUI will look like:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Open both files, press "Active". SoundSense's log will be shown on the text area there.

Sorry for the huge hiatus, I went through a unmotivated August mostly due to Team Fortress 2 and Worms.

Anyone got an ini for 31.12 on Linux? All the previous files were for Windows.

Could it be spaces on the path?

Is there enough demand for a repository of sound packs? I could make a small download-site thingy if people want it. It'd also make me get off my butt and actually work on my projects, too.

I have just learned that you actually can have an unnamed fortress. Let's see what horrors will occur in this glacier fortress.

Are there any plans to open source this?

Does anybody have any honeycomb-ish designs that allow for corridors of an odd width? I can't stand having uncentered things.

Ouch. The latest binary seems to run even worse than the first one. Instead of gracefully terminating with an error message, it immediately bluescreens my computer. The BSOD claims that a system critical process or thread was unexpectedly terminated.
I tried installing gtk+ with the default options and I tried installing the compatibility dlls as well, but my computer crashes every time I run it.
That's... strange. It runs perfectly on my windows-running computer.

My legendary blacksmith just gave birth to quintuplets. What.
Now that's bad luck.
