Hey y'all. Well, it's been four months and I finally got to writing and recording a song today. I was a bit lazy with the recording and I'm no audio techie, so apologies to the audiophiles. My friend says it sounds too Arabian Nights, so maybe it's fitting for a desert fortress?

I decided to call this one (puts on pretentiousness-hat ::) ) "Encounter":

http://soundcloud.com/simonswerwer/encounter-1

It's really just a sample track to see if I get some responses, but it's 100% purely dedicated to Toady, Threetoe, you folks and the cat-eating, elf eye socket-pissing, STONE guitar playing dwellers of the mountain homes.

Have to say that is really mellow and goes extremely well with the game.

I don't think anything is wrong with the burrows. His scrapyards are holding the crates that are not in his burrows and therefor can't be used. That's my guess anyways.

Very interested in seeing what you would do with these tiles Deon ;)

Is it possible to make it so that when certain police sliders are liberal the police are given tasers and tranquilizer type guns? Basically I'd like to see the police go from full force and murder with C+ to actually capturing your liberals with less lethal means and locking them up.

Pretty awesome game so far after spending about half a day playing it almost nonstop. I haven't actually survived for more than two or three days since I keep running around searching for all of the neat stuff I can find and inevitably being nom'd on.

Have say I really like the random character option since you never know what you're going to get. Super powered action hero time or just a punk with a bunch of problems? Either way the zombies will feast.

Any one brave enough to attempt to breathe life into this mod? :D

I play every day and hang out in the IRC but there are only a few of us in there with any regularity. Kind of a shame too but this game works as a lone wolf / small group. Might actually have enough gold saved up in another week for a small house at this rate, only two of us are working towards it.

Heh yeah "hate" is probably too strong of a word to use but it's the best way I can describe the people who seem to rally / rage against Manning and want his head on a plate.

Manning is guilty of releasing classified information, he knew the risk. It is entirely wrong and illegal in how he is being treated however. We have signed the Geneva Convention among other treaties that BAN this type of treatment. I do feel he should be tried and charged for his crimes though, that's the price you pay for breaking the law.

I also feel that the leaders / diplomats who have broken laws and skirted their responsibilities as detailed in some of the cables should be charged as well for their crimes. A lot of people seem to want to kill the messenger but ignore the message as if it some how doesn't matter because "he didn't follow the rules, blah blah rabble rabble!".

There is an IPY IRC channel you can join and then from there create your own private room:

IRC channel: irc.gamesurge.net #ipy

I've been creating a room called #uristonline that a few of us were chatting in today and organizing things.

Treasure maps are in as well as MIBs.

As far as I know Inscription will not provide a magery dmg boost either (if that's what you were going for).

Dunno about starting skills...really depends on how long you plan on playing. I started my main character with fletching / carpentry in order to easily make money. I've got about 5k in the bank right now and once I get a house / guild stone I'll probably be dumping those skills and focusing on raising my combat skills.

They're listening because tonight they're going to speed up stat gain a decent amount!
If any one is in the IPY IRC chat I'm named ChumbaLumba and feel free to PM me, I'll group up for some training / dungeon romping if I can.

200% skill gain in dungeons btw

Stats are really slow too, they have them on some insane timer so you'll only gain 1 or 2 stat points per hour.
