Alas, poor succubi.

Mothi Spideryhates, the Diety, the Law-giver, has arrived to lay down some godly smite on their dark, ocean-side dungeon.

Got invaded for the first time, Ferric Elves AND White Tigermen at the same time, the cowardly scoundrels actually ganged up on me. I had a good military going and repelled them, too bad 2 of my Legendary fighters got oneshotted by the War Basilisk stoning gaze. Any idea how to prevent that? It looks pretty OP, but there is usually a weird trick to this kind of stuff. Shield doesn't work and I lack imagination, care to help?

Apply the wisdom of Dwarfs:  Kill it with lava.  If it still moves, it needs more lava.

Said new fort was doing just fine.

Going to retire it, anyway, and generate a new world without jotun in it.

Damned building destroying visiting giant freaks...

Decent beginning of a succubi pit.  Used the new obsidian armor for my military, was pumping out obsidian items for trade and decking my land with fine glass items.

Then the dead invaded.

Turns out, they weren't undead.

They were "lightning men."  Beings made totally from lightning.

"Oh," I thought, "this is going to totally kill my fortress.  Watch them be able to stun all my units and be unable to be hit."

I must be a prophet.  That's exactly what happened.  They couldn't hit worth crap but every strike caused instant paralysis.  And every strike against them just passed right through.

The RNG decided I must die.

Time for a new fort.

Is it normal for Nightmares to starve to death without access to cavern moss?

Mine do..every single time.

Starting to get frequent crashes that don't pop up in the error log.

They're inconsistent but happen only while I am trying to place furniture or buildings and am navigating around (using the arrow keys to move the cursor).

I know this has turned up in the past, but I don't remember what plugin was responsible.

Masterwork DF / Re: Succubus Livestock Zombies?

In a reanimating evil biome, many of the zombies are of succubus livestock (such as the 2 headed dogs and vermin hunting snakes). Is this because those are creatures set to live in evil areas?

Yes.

For Boltgun:

The description under the succubi building "Glass Shaper" for an obsidian two-handed sword says it's a bundle of arrows.

You need to remove a few races to generate small worlds, otherwise there is not enough space for everyone. The vanilla game was made for 4 organized civilizations.

Otherwise, I added a workshop where you can make clothing out of fire, just for fun. You can make rolls of fire cloths too but I don't know yet how the AI will treat it. This should lead to a lot of hilarious situation where a succubus nurse tries to heal a human with fire.

I'm also trying fire weapons too, I am sure it will not damage the target but if it ignites it that should be useful.

I haven't had my succubi attempt anything with them, actually.  No healing, no making..they just sit at the fireshaper.

Fire-shaped clothing and weaponry is fine but the cloth is useless.

Has The Earth Strikes Back been incorporated completely into Masterwork by accident, or do Awakened Stones just appear as normally spawning creatures, now?

I've got the mod turned off in the GUI but I still have stones appearing, even after generating a new world.

I noticed that when TESB is turned off in the GUI that the creature raws are still active, so you can still see one of them spawn randomly (though they are very rare on their own without the mod's DFHackery).  I mentioned it to Meph, and he said that leaving them in was intentional.

Well, now I feel stupid!  I even remember seeing this when it was first posted.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention, again.

Not so much a crash in a game but during world generation, the only time I'm getting crashes is due to the following error from the log:

*** Error(s) finalizing the reaction WOLFRAMITE_TUNGSTEN
Unrecognized Inorganic Token: TUNGSTENITE

The only commonality between crashes is if you let the world gen go beyond 100 years. It's hit or miss, after that.  I've genned a couple worlds with 400 years before they both crashed and one that made it to 1000 without a problem.  Default settings, medium regions.

Has anyone seen this before?  I think it is because I tried to play with an extinct race of Humans.  I've never seen it before.

This topic has been raised several times through several of the threads concerning the latest update and human play, but you seem to be the first to provide a screenshot.

Meph and Boltgun have said that it has to do with the script "smartpet," which runs to check the status of demons and other intelligent "pet" creatures that should work as members of your fortress, which may not have been flagged as intelligent.  It borks some things, like sending art-hating visiting wagon-pullers to visit you for eternity (don't build slabs, windows, statues, etc.  Your visiting haulers will just destroy them).

It is supposed to be fixed in the next update.

Ah,  I thought they are activated from start for the succubus.

They are activated by making DF believe you reached the magma sea from the start so if you remove it, that would break this part.

Interesting.  Apparently, the nightmares of my home civilization have decided they've had enough of hauling wagons about and have come visiting my fort (complete with announcement) after dropping off the wagons off-screen.

I now have permanent, legendary nightmares without skills in which to be legendary (they blink as if legendary) who have an inexplicable hatred for memorial slabs.  They make a bee-line for any I build, thus leaving a horde of angry ghosts floating around, occasionally battering my living succubi..occasionally creating more death and ghosts because of it.

Which tab of the unit screen are they marked, and are they 'pets', 'wild animals' or 'underworld'. Otherwise I may have fixed this bug today and will send it to Meph for the next release.

They are marked under "Other," along with other visiting creatures.

Additional information:  This only happens after the caravans from my home civilization leave the map.  A couple messages show up, showing that "a nightmare is visiting" and "a wagon is visiting."  The wagon never shows (one of those types of people.  always saying they'll be there and never keeping their word!) but sometimes I'll also get a random message that an object from the caravan has been stolen by a thieving creature, despite these things not actually being on my map but showing up as belonging to my fortress.
