I just finished playing my first adventure on DF today.  It was rather short, but nonetheless fun.
The Warlord had no available quests for me, so I decided to sleep.  I wake up, it's night time, and I leave the mead hall.  I proceed attacking human citizens in their sleep.  3 males, 1 female, and 2 children (I didn't know 3 people can sleep on one bed?).  The seventh person, for some reason, woke up after I threw little Timmy's head at him, and he killed me with a hammer.

I started up a new adventure, and the warlord wants me to slay a dragon.  I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to do that  ???

Well, my adventurer goblin just raided a human village successfully. Murdered them all in their sleep.

He was granted the title of the Strategic side. So, now I'm training him up for the attack on the next village down the road. Got him some allies this time too, so it's sure to be fun.

How do you play as a Goblin?  When I start up adventure mode I can only choose from the 3 races.

Ahh, thank you!  That seems to have cleared up my problem.

Before I started mining out my fortress I created a wood stockpile outside the entrance.  After I had everything set up I mined down a level and created another wood stockpile.  I chose to transfer wood from my original wood pile, which is outside, but for some reason my dwarfs can't do it.  I know there's nothing wrong with the stairs because one of my miners carried down a single log before he gave up.  The rest of the dwarfs just run around the outside stockpile, but wont carry any logs.

Help?
