some day, some day.

But it would still be a change that would make me happy that I can designate something, and let them dwarfs sort out who should do what.  If there was an obtuse menu/mod that would let me set it so that only X skill or higher dwarves can engrave, then I would just as soon take that solution to fix my problem.

try adding in min elevation 5 and No for periodically erode cliffs....I find I can a few volcanoes, sand, mid-heavy forest,suitable amounts of marble, and a river into a 4x4 often enough.

I really would love it if this would go through (I placed one of my votes for it on the Eternal page).  It would also be nice to separate Construction from Mason (though less important in my view).

Right now, I have a single legendary Engraver, and a small group of other dwarves....right now I either have to fiddle with assigning the good engraver to a burrow where he engraves and another burrow for the rest of them to smooth stone.  Alternatively, sometimes I just load up Therapist to turn off the "stone detail" job on all but the engraver if the areas are far apart.

I guess I'll have to dig up a similarly odd event I discovered. 

I had started an embark with a volcano, since I wanted easy magma access.  It turns out I got more than I bargained for, as I found a massive tube of obsidian and magma climbing out of the mountain.  While it does not boast such amazing height as the Spire, it was quite neat.

Ok, so first the bad news:  events didn't play out the same this time around, but I think the story will work out alright. 
I'm going to play it off as a recurring dream she has, since it seems that she was made Mayor in this continuity.  Her first mandate?  Make picks.  Seriously?  Those things that I've been working towards making?  you want me to make them?  goody.

Good news is Usuth finished his legendary creation.  It's a birch floodgate.  At least he is legendary now.  He shall make beds and chairs and chests and cabinets till the end of his days!
Also, my broker got his appraisal to legendary.  Happy times.

So far I'm pretty happy that the story seems to be progressing with relative ease....the first legendary item made even helps support the name "Dancemachine" :P  Hopefully I'll have some time this week for the next bit.

I have some bad news.  It seems the save game for the story of Bembul Archfriends has been lost :(  My current checkpoint is shortly after Ustuth was taken by a strange mood.  With any luck, we'll see the same or similar events.  Since I'm stuck in the past anyways, I'm going to do my best to help poor Ustuth finish his item.

Good evening, community of DF.
