After finally finding the magma sea I thought it would be convenient to build my smelters directly on top of it. Convenient it was but now every once in a while I get a magma man or some other creature of flames popping up.

I lost a few unlucky furnace operators and a beloved dog or two but it ensures for some hilarious drama when dwarfs try to escape. One did escape but unfortunately died after leaving an epic blood trail over half my fortress. I'm still waiting for the engraving.

Thanks for the sane words alway. A beautiful piece of software is just like a painting or a piece of music, you cannot just slap a bunch of resources on it to get it done quicker.

Spending a good three hours overtime along with 9 other people in a meeting only to realize that it was not even remotely useful except for the one guy that basically organized the the thing. That's not only sad for the fact but also for the sheer amount of money, energy and willpower that is drained during such sessions.

Stuff like this just goes to show how deeply passionate people are for DF. If anything, we are philanthropists: increasing the well-being of humankind, as by saving the toad. The haters are few and far between, they will find the fortress eventually.
