Impoverished Word Selector is in it, that's it

Still drowning in random crashes over here, now it's doing it during world gen too. But only sometimes. It's ruining me!

3
I didn't have that set already.

One of the crashes mentioned DEP though, and it won't let me set DF DEP-excepted. Could that be the cause?

4
What is Truetype Support and how do I turn it off?

5
Sometimes when I use 'v' to investigate my dwarves on embark, the game crashes. This is really annoying, since it's not that uncommon. I lost a really good racial lineup that way. Is this linked to Genesis or vanilla? Or something weird on my end?

I did that, but they just moved to new beds and passed out. Do I need to deconstruct every bed in the hospital?

I embarked on an evil biome. I was recklessly too close to the water, and zombie carp routed my dwarves. One of them fled into a skeletal moose. It took all of my dwarves punching and biting it to take it down. However, two got injured with a broken arm and leg. I managed to make a hospital and then move them to the beds. I then made a peasant into a full doctor.

Well, they wanted cloth I didn't have, so nothing happened. Luckily, they both made a full recovery despite no treatment. However, they are still unconscious in bed. It seems one is still waiting for cloth. I don't know about the other. They are fully fine, it just says 'unconscious'. I can't figure out how to get them out and about. One of them is absolutely vital to the fort, and I really need manpower to establish myself in this terrifying land too.

Any ideas? I figure it's a hospital bug of some sort.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Ridiculous Genesis Luck

Well, I decided to do a challenge game, and made the most relentless environment and world I could, with 6 things at war with me. My game plan was that 6 would be military, and the seventh would be a hermit, and forced to do every task alone for all 7 dwarves until immigrants arrived.

Although I started this without much in the way of expectations, when I embarked on my sandy hell I found I had a bunch of stone dwarves. Good, good. Then... I find a STEEL dwarf. Amazing! Strength and agil are off the charts, and toughness is maxed. The other 6 are stone, as well.

Well, I manage things well enough, butchuring the pair of muskox and managing to get by until summer. Then I get 2 immigrants. My initial thought is that hey, that's triple the amount of work done, I can start digging deeper and maybe give my military dwarves more then training weapons and no armor. Any ore would be nice!

...one of the two is flashing. It's a legendary Armorsmith.

Has the grace of the dwarven gods embraced my mission of high challenge? I've never got a Steel on embark before OR a legendary armorsmith migrant, let alone one of two in a wave. I shall triumph! Anyone else get some good RNG from this mod?

It's a demon from some civilization. IIRC, it'll eventually have a meeting with your mayor then go away. It's bizarre.

A humble number of dwarves with tons of war dogs and two stout warriors embarked on a frozen, terrifying glacier. Undeterred, one unskilled miner slowly delved into the depths, finding a cavern. However, at that point he realized all the booze had frozen in a snowstorm and all the food got ruined. Then they all tantrum spiraled before finding water and food.

All my engravings are of my crying Militia Commander because I have had to remove them from the spot a few times to deal with Military bugs.

'The militia commander is surrounded by the dwarves. He is making a plaintive gesture. The dwarves are laughing.'

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Times you felt like a jerk...

Come on, everyone gets attached to their dwarves. Has anyone had any sentimental moments? Shutting the front drawbridge while a poor fisherwoman and her baby are fleeing towards it, knowing to wait any longer risks more death?

Mine is pretty minor. I have a maze of small rooms, and my dungeon keeper was now a dungeon master. So I have my legendary blacksmith create a golden cabinet, and thought I stuck it in his room.

Then I notice my gem cutter is in the room suddenly, standing beside it. He was ecstatic, having the mood 'admired own completely sublime cabinet' (He even liked gold!), and I realized I had put it in the room right NEXT to the dungeon master. When I removed it and put it in the right room, the gem cutter went back to his own room, went next to the empty spot, waited a couple seconds, then left.

:(

Well, maybe my mayor is just really happy since his entire office and dining room and bedroom is full of gold furniture. He even gets happy thoughts for really good meeting areas. It's been years and he's not mandated ANYTHING.

So it's normal to have over 80 dwarves, a mayor, and 50m wealth and no appointed nobles despite multiple liason visits..? I just want to make sure it's working, I don't care about spoilers.
