The only thing that comes to mind is making the bolt out of something so hot that it ignites the target, but that leaves the problem of handling the ammunition whenever it's not flying towards your enemies. Possibly with fire-proof quiver, crossbow and gloves?

Someone more experienced will have to answer.

I believe all animals designated for trading needs to be tamed, otherwise it just releases them and causes mayhem everywhere. Not sure if it's a bug.

I wonder if there can be different quantities of guts popped out. For example, could you see one dwarf with "~~" while another has "~~~~~~"?

While it sounds prett Fun, it might be a little too obscure. Also, normal arenas are already widely used by the community. However, it might be nice for adventure mode, being captured and forced to face off against several randomly picked opponents, and finally achieve freedom.

Setting up an irrigation is incredibly quick and easy once you get the hang of it. A simple lever connected to a door (which opens/closes instantly compared to the 100-steps delayed floodgate) only takes a minute to set up, and can be used several times if you need to expand your farms.

Magma waterfall defense mechanism.  Also, make the floor out of bars of coke and see if you can get the floor tiles to ignite (It's possible, and I've done it before, I think it has to do with being under/next to something that's !!burning!!).  Then try to figure out what to do with an entrance that's permanently on fire.

Mind if I sig that, good sir?

Just genned a world with this mod.

It's crazy. In a good way.

(By the way, is there any other way to make plasma casters besides breath weapon? Like a new weapon with a plasma projectile that has a very high temperature?)

Guys, just THROW REAL SPEARS! It is just as deadly considering a Copper Spear can take down most things if given some good aiming skills.

And Throwing spears are referred to as javelins.

There is a difference between the weapons in that javelins are weighted for throwing, while spears are not. And we know, we've just derailed the thread a little.

Wow... a dwarf is dragging his intestines all over the place and is in constant terrible pain and one of the first suggestions is to hack off his guts with an intricate mechanical contraption. This truly is Dwarf Fortress :o

(But I think, the door would simply be blocked. If a monarch butterfly corpse can do it, a part of the dwarven digestive system can do it any day)

That's a shame.

By the way, can you grasp exposed intestines in battle? The thought of throwing someone like a lasso by their guts is quite... exciting.
