Hmmm, I'm gonna bump this old thread looking for some advice, I went onto a volcano map, and I'm looking to design an airlock using pump power, hatches, and magma, to make a room that I can flood with magma by flipping a lever, then drain it by flipping it back off. Can someone explain pump stacks and power in detail?

Will I get invasions if I start a fort with them off, and turn them on later? The same goes for the population settings, temperature, weather, economy, no rent, and the others.

Eh, I do think that the fourth dimension sounds cool, and maybe creatures could switch between it and get psat walls and stuff if you dont have them in the fourth dimension. But I think that rewinding would be WAY cooler, I would love to be able to salvage a fort, or save a dwarf that went into a mood by rewinding until it's where he wasn't in a mood, I don't think he would get the mood again because I think it's random.
Losing is fun, but going back in time to try again until your get it right is more fun, to me at least.

Yeah this is definetely adventure mode lol, I was thinking of a new mega beast, like a titan, but smaller and with a hundred hands to collect things over the centuries!

Well, mine was when I was sent to kill some mountain titan that ended up being something like "a gigantic winged snail with opal feathers". I had tons of companions with me who did most of the work, but after about 5 minutes fighting it and it still not dying I looked at its status screen. All of its limbs were missing, it was bleeding heavily and its body was injured in pretty much every way possible. I stabbed it in the body and tore its brain, but it DIDN'T DIE! I stabbed it in the body again, tearing its brain a second time, and it finally died. I'll put up pictures in a little bit if i still have them.

Lol, just had my first adventure with them, was 5 minutes in and then I realized they don't work well on bogeymen.... :'(

I figure that if I can sever one the the spikes, and use it as a weapon that can slash, not just strike, then it will do the same when it's attached, but how do I do that?

How can I get it to cut limbs off? I was messing around with it and it bugs me that I can't get it to.

With your names in of course, but I'm hoping to expand this to a million different castes born with different spikes each, some blunt even, so it'll be way bigger later.
