DF Modding / Re: Modding Undead?

No they wouldn't. You just need to define a part for flying. They don't need wings if you define their body as a flying part.

I'd love for more of a connection between fortress and adventure modes. For instance, if your fortress is at war with humans, you can have an adventurer join in the battle. For this to work, we'd need to be able to play an adventurer game while fortress mode is running, and I'm not sure if it's possible.

I too would love the idea of owning a ranch or building up your own mercenary army.

You know what happened, don't you? It was pregnant. You murdered a pregnant dragon.

You think the games takes into account your size when determining exhaustion?

Hah, earlier I was playing a size 50 hydra. It was pretty fun!

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Mods = faster game speed?

Yeah. With the most recent update, fortress mode runs insanely fast. TOO fast. It'll slow down as my fortress expands I'm sure, but early on it's annoying to see every dwarf as a blur.

Yes, they are. As for the elephants, they could be showing what happened to another fortress.

Oh, good. He died there too, so at least my fortress ended up being the resting place of a bronze colossus and a goblin king.

When I was sieged by goblins once, they brought along a human master swordsman, who was on their side.

Oh, and that siege killed my fortress. Because a bronze colossus had killed half my dwarves before they turned up, and after the goblins killed the colossus, there was no colossus, no goblins and about 15 dwarves left. It was a SLAUGHTER.

Perhaps it should be made so that if there is a mandate, these items will be automatically created if you choose to make some instruments.

Not every random patch of forest is a treasure trove of gold and gems and wonders untold y'know.

Sometimes, a forest is...just a forest.

I had ONE alligator on my current map, and it kept scaring my fisherdwarf.

Then my hunter killed it.

When a dwarf is possessed, their likes do not matter. Try looking around in the current area. I heard that they won't request out-of-depth items, and so far it's been true.

DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Turtles?
« on: September 01, 2007, 06:50:00 am »
Turtle MEAT is different from Turtle. Turtle meat is what you can randomly start with, while Turtle is a whole turtle. It is gotten from having a fisherdwarf catch raw turtles using a fishery to process raw fish. When eaten, a turtle provides one bone and one shell. Each turtle is a single meal.
