I once was pierced in both lungs by a lion, I managed to walk off the map, leaving a trail of gore. Also, it seems everyone of my characters loses a single eye, and then keeps going.

hammer works, simply because it doesn't get stuck in the body.

A character of mine was killed by one, he pierced its heart with his first blow, it rips him apart, eats a drunk, before everyone else arrives. two axemen, a lasher, a pikeman, they swarm it, it proceeds to nearly kill the lasher, ripping and tearing chunks out of her, before my awesome axeman who killed a giant and a minotaur on his own, manages to pierce its heart again, killing it.

Removal of the eyes is a sure fire way to defeat most fleshy foes. it also does affect ability to use ranged weapons. my most epic wrestler who fled an inflate error, during his early years took a crocodile to the head. he lost an eye, and could not shoot worth BALLS.

I killed an entire town. WITH FIRE!... next time, same thing, but with only 2 fires. one north of road, one south of road.

unfortunantly I apparently stole something. a half dead and burnt hammerman knocked my ass into the fire and I burned to ash... good thing my weapons should be ok... I HOPE.

I just basically destroyed a town. first phase, I encircled the town with a ring of burning plant life. Secondly, I lit all the plants along the road on fire. except those near the water. third step I immolated a few choice trees near housing, fourth step I lit some stuff near a pool of water impacting the road, after the steam faded I moved in to hang out there, and watch everyone in the town except the mayor die.

Walk up to tree/plant, you have the option to ignite, do so. It can kill anything up to and including a horde of zombies. of course no experience and stuff... but hay, it is taking out the masters so its good.

If you take a human town, light every tree/plant in it on fire, go into the inn, and sleep on the second level for a while. Will everyone in the town die from FIAR? will they retreat into the center of town? should I try it? instead of my current plan to set a ruins on fire, starting with the outside edge, and slowly working my way in.

Those kobolds are extraordinarily well armed. I wnet in with a group of 9 well trained warriors. We brought down wave after wave of kobolds, I counted. We took out 20 bowmen, 3 master bowmen, 2 master thieves, 10 swordsmen and 7 spearmen. plus the hordes of unskilled kobold peasants. THAT IS MORE THAN MANY HUMAN TOWNS, and still they came on. how fast do kobolds respawn? seriously, we wreaked terrible slaughter, and I think only dented them.

Diary Entry Number 1: the Tome of Onaf Urlen

Today we Set off to kill a giant in a nearby cave who had been plaguing the area. I went out with a few local drunks and a maceman. we entered and immediatly engaged a horde of snakemen. I was heavily wounded in the gut by a claw and so fled.

Coming back after I felt a bit better. one of the drunks was engaged with the giant, I could hear the screams echoing through the caves. again the remaining forces we had entered. after a few tense moments of searching, we heard the death of our friend, and then a giant cave toad, latched onto my back, severely injuring me before I could escape.

Entry 2: Walked into the cave. was punched in the head by a mudman, left to let me skull heal.

Entry 3: We set back in, with a rejuvenated party of another maceman, a lasher, two axemen. and the last drunk. after getting seperated by the mudman, they fought the giant without me. and lost. I fought valiently, and managed to escape the cave heavily injured once more. After I get a few more brave folk, THE GIANT WILL DIE!
