Thanks a lot for this.

Dwarf Therapist is mostly working for me, though I did have it crash upon attempting to rename one specific dwarf.

0.40.07 is released, and it adds new labors. Hope this doesn't delay Dwarf Therapist too much ;)

40_05 is up!  Any ETA on the memory layout?

We are all slaves to Armok.

You might want to set the default keybindings to "Vanilla DF", someone I tried to show the game yesterday got already stuck at the preparing screen because the keybindings for increasing skill proficiency didn't match the default ones. (Why would "=" for increasing proficiency be a good choice?).

Agreed. I think it'd be a good idea to have the default settings be as close to DF defaults as possible to avoid confusion.

I only use DT for labors anyway, so the old version is perfect for me!
I'm loving having it back, it made the 37 dwarf migrant wave tolerable.

I used to be like you, but after trying the labor optimizer in the new version I simply cannot go back! I'm gonna wait until it's finished before I start another serious fort :D

I tried to open soundsense but it just opens a command window which says: "Error: Could not find or load main class cz.zweistein.df.soundsense.SoundSense".

Yup. Soundsense seems broken in this version. It worked again after I downloaded it directly from http://df.zweistein.cz/soundsense/ and replaced the folder.

Did anybody else just say "F* it", mod their dwarves to have natural skill 1 in everything, and enable starting labors on skills?  At least while waiting for DT.

No specializations, but also no labor assignments needed.

Personally I started a fort and managed my dwarves until the first migrant wave, and then said "NOPE!" to managing labors. I'm now waiting for Dwarf Therapist. I've never actually tried to get into adventure mode. I might do that while I wait.

Man, I sure hope dwarf therapist gets updated soon. I am so lost without it.

This is brilliant, thanks! Got it working on fresh installation of Debian 7 "Wheezy", stable 64bit

I had to do
Code: [Select]
dpkg --add-architecture i386 in order to install the i386 dependencies, but apart from that I could follow the instructions to the letter, and everything just worked. https://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/HOWTO

Time for some fun!

I would love the option to have Simple Trees/Gems/Soil/Stones/Minerals/Pets and other performance enhancing options without adding any new features to the game.
