Per request, this is my custom Professions file (not to be confused with Roles, which uses personality, weighted average, etc.); Click Me!

Few things to note:
1. Super-specialty labors like Pottery & Bee Keeping have no Profession.  Should I want to start one such industry, I manually assign a Dwarf.
2. Medical skills have no Profession.  If a migrant is skilled in one of the Medicine items, I just re-enable that labor after assigning a Profession.  Also helps to ensure I only have my Chief Medical Dwarf with Diagnostician enabled.

As to how I manage hauling... you're gonna have to be more specific.  Use Wheelbarrows and Minecarts when possible, keep plenty of Bins, etc.  The only time that I use a quantum stockpile is when I am removing boulders from normal stockpiles.

Small fork of the SoundSense code if anyone is interested. I hope that is OK Petr. If not let me know and I'll pull it down - its basically some customisations of my own:

* Autoupdate code is gone
* Uses the Nimbus LnF
* Minimises to the system tray
* No console necessary

Hey guys, do you know where I can find this fork of soundsense now? I liked it a lot, especially the minimize in tray option...

Could you share your custom professions with us? Maybe in a file to import in dwarf therapist (is this possible at all?). Or maybe listing the enabled skiils in each profession one by one... Last question: how do you manage hauling? THANKS in advance for your time (and congrats!).

I will try the V-Sync fix, and I will try to patch the EXE with a hex-editor. I will let you know my progress!

I have tried the V-Sync fix, and it works perfectly! But I'm too noooob to understand how to modify a HEX file (i can open it with a hex-editor, but that's all!)

Hi evetybody!

I'm playing the latest version of DF and I'm happy with that, BUT I'd like to try the so-called 2D version (back to the root of DF!)

Here my question: is it possible to increase the grid size, or I'm condamned to view just a tiny part of the mountain? Does anything like a "zoom-function" exist in version 23a (like the mouse wheel in version 34.11)?
I'm using a 1920x1080 monitor, and I have double-checked the INIT file looking for any clue... without success.

Another quick question: i have set the FPS cap to 200 in the INIT file... but the game sticks to 60 fps, which is my monitor max G-FPS. In version 34.11 I can set my FPS using DFHack to 300 if I want, and it's ok. Why?? :)
