It seams most of my books are written by traveling scholars. How many do you have visiting? 3

. I was playing adventurer mode all night but will start trying Fortress out this evening. I can't wait to see where you continue to take this game. You are the man.

Greetings to everyone (except those stupid elves)! I'm from Argentina so sorry for my bad english.
I started playing DF yesterday, by following the "The Complete and Utter Newby Tutorial for Dwarf Fortress" guide. Against all odds, the game seems really interesting (not fun cause i didn't loose yet) to me, and I have a question.
Using a tileset is considered somehow "too softcore"? There is some kind of motto like "Real men play with ASCII, tilesets are for noobs", "Chuck Norris uses ASCII... and Comic Sans font. In italic" or something like that?
Every screenshot or video I see on these forums use it. I can't stand it, the newer graphics pack is so awesome grass is green, dirt is brown you can see what things are, everything is not weird symbols.
But in the end I don't care what you use, use what you like. I'm just curious, seems like using a horse and buggy when there is a shiny sports car.
(Unless it is some hipster thing, then.....you are grounded)
