I loves me some tigers. My last fort's king's emblem was the tiger (for their predatory nature) So The king's throneroom was also a tiger pen, complete with copper/obsidian tiger-striped floor, and gold statues covered in Tiger Irons. The great hall's floor was pure obsidian, with a copper tiger rampant in the center. Oh also, the king's guard, The Tiger's Paws, were equipped with copper scourges encrusted with tiger irons, and each had their own Giant War Tiger. Yup.

I like to have 2-3 "Animal Shelter" pens near the edge of my maps. The problem takes care of itself once a year, when unclaimed pets are "gassed"

Still corrupted for me, downloaded it 3 or 4 times last night, and still getting this. Can anyone reproduce this, or am I doing something wrong?

I try to think of it as, things are so comfortable, safe, and wealthy that we're blessed to be able to have so many idlers, drinking and socializing, and not contributing anything to society.

DF Gameplay Questions / Using removebadthoughts script?

I've been trying for a while to try to use the removebadthoughts script, but with no luck. (I don't usually go for cheating, but I kind of messed up my dwarves experiementing with a script, and then had it autosave, so I don't want to lose my fort/dwarves because of that)

I put the script (removebadthoughts.rb) into my hack/scripts folder, but it's still not showing up on my list of plugins.

I'm using the most current version of LNP Advanced

Has anyone else had any problems with this?

DF Suggestions / Sleep/coma syndrome

That would be neat, a syndrome that induces sleep for an indeterminate amount of time (via gas, forgotten beast syndrome, fog, weather, etc)

Afflicted will immediately sleep, whether outside, inside, being attacked, etc.

Afflicted will sleep for maybe a month, and wake up starving and thirsty. Maybe they'll sleep more if exposed to multiple doses, and possibly risk starving to death in their sleep.

Maybe dwarves could drag them to the hospital to sleep it off?

The "Share where you look for inspiration" thread! Where do you go when you are looking to be inspired, on fort layout, design, etc? I know personally, I'm a little dry on design ideas personally (both on a grand scale, and on a smaller scale, i.e. Bedroom design, throne room design, front gates, etc) and I'd love to hear other's. Bonus points for images!

I'll start with some easy ones: Ironforge (WoW) any of the dwarven cities in the Dragon Age game, and Erebor (The Hobbit)

Also this image has some interesting potential for a city based around an underground cavern.

Does anyone know some clothing outfit combinations that meet the sanity requirements? I don't think I fully understand which pieces of clothes cover what parts, and avoid which happiness problems.

As of now, I've just been queuing trousers, tunics, and shoes.

I basically have:

Citizen: All hauling/non-quality based tasks (wood burning, butchering, milking, shearing, etc)
Peasant: Same as above, but for newbie migrants
Deepsman: Nothing but digging
Craftsman: Minimal default labors, but also whatever crafting ability they are legendary in
Maester: All medical labors
Adamanteer: Strand Extraction, until that work dries up
Finisher: Engraving stone
Invalid: No labors checked, usually a dwarf who is useless or about to die
Woodward: cuttin trees!

Also, Thane for mayor, High Thane for other nobles, Mountainking for, you guessed it. Also I like to give their relatives appropriate titles, and nicknames like "sir", "lady", "captain" or "lord"
