Roll To Dodge / The Endless, Infinite Wall of Bones!
« on: June 10, 2023, 10:51:40 am »
This is a spiritual successor to Supernerd's: "You can't defeat the Infinite Wall of Slime, but you can level grind on it!" I have gotten approval from him to make this. It is not completely the same game, I have put some twists on it and changed a few things(such that I didn't know). Now with that out of the way...

Welcome to the world of "The Endless, Infinite Wall of Bones!".

You are a level 1 entity. Being level 1 means that you have 5 HP and can act using 1d4! Being an entity means that you are a thing with a distinct and independent existence.

Any roll of 1 will result in a failure, and any roll that is the highest number that your dice can roll will be a critical success. Better dice will roll less critical successes, but the higher the number, the more powerful the critical success will be!

You are currently in the main area. It is sort of like an empty field or something. About 20 meters away to your north is an infinitely large wall of bones. Fortunately it has a distinct edge, which is about 20 meters away from you. The wall is all shapes and sizes, it seems to be more long solid shapes then others.

You also see two doors behind you. They are not connected to any walls or anything which is kind of unusual for a door. One of them is labeled "Shop" and the other one is labeled "Death", the latter of which does not have a doorknob which seems like it would make it kind of hard to open.

The Endless, Infinite Wall of Bones has Infinite HP. What do you do?

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Forming an Order
« on: February 27, 2023, 01:27:15 am »
You knew this day would come. The Order of Things has banished you and your followers from the Order for going against the Will of the Council. What was the Will of the Council that you went against? Even though you were a (insert Rank) they wouldn’t see your way. Oh well you and your followers would make a New Order. Proving that The Order of Things is not the end all be all.

Answer the following prompts:
What was the Will of the Council that you went against?
What Rank in the Order were you? Grandmaster, Council Master, Master, Knight
What is the name of the New Order you are founding?

Also: Once we get done with creating the Order if people want to be members in the Order Please fill out the following app:
Name:
Rank in Order: (Initiate, Neophyte, Apprentice, Knight)
Skill:(Dependent on Rank)

I plan on keeping this a lean game to make it easier for me to keep up with it.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / A Lasting Clone War Multiplayer
« on: July 10, 2022, 08:39:25 pm »
Well hello there, I'm your personal assistant and I will help you as you lead your people to victory. My designation is M-3 if you would to call me something else you can. In case you couldn't tell I am a clone. Please remind me of your name and which country you are leading in this conflict:

Name:(whatsoever you wish)
People/nation:(any fantasy/fiction race or species(all subject to OP(my) approval))

Now that that is out of the way let me introduce you to your clone army:

A)Small: 1d10+1 battalion + 1d10+1 squads produced/turn(good if you don't want to rely on clones as the bulk of your army, will require you to start recruitment campaigns and training camps to increase your army)
B)Decent: 2d10+2 corps + 2d10+2 companies produced/turn(good if you want a decent mix of non-clones and clones in your army and gives you enough of a fluff that you can wait a few turns to start recruitment campaigns and training camps)
C)Massive: 4d10+4 army groups + 4d10+4 brigades produced/turn(great if you don't want to tap your civilian pop for your army if you have to tap your civilians then you are already in trouble)
Note: All army sizes are based on the current US military definition and size as seen here.

You can always increase the clone production later, it will just require you to dedicate a large amount of resources and research to it.

We will get to the other stuff later once this sinks in a bit.

What is this?
This is a cross between 2 of my games: Clone Wars+A Lasting War.
Will this be 'single player' SG style or multiplayer style?
That is up to you the players if some want it multiplayer it will be:

Multiplayer:

1)Yes please
2)No thanks

If there is a mix I can make an single player and multiplayer version as people prefer.
If you have any questions let me know.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Citizen of Rome
« on: December 19, 2021, 02:39:17 am »
You are a citizen of the city of Rome, can you rise to the be the leader of Rome or will you setup you descendants to be in position to become leaders of Rome. The choice is yours. We now need to figure out when in Rome’s history you are:
a) The Early City State
b) The Republic Era
c) the Imperial Era

Also what is your social class:
1) Slave(the best you can do is freedman)
2) Freedman(this is the best you will be able to do, your children will be born freemen)
3) Plebeian
4) Equestrian
5) Senator(must be in the Republic Era or later)
6) Patrician(not available in the Imperial Era)

This game will be mostly free-form and will end when your character dies without an heir, if your character dies with an heir(s) you can choose to play as one or end the game. The mechanics will be light with more of a historical look at Roman life through the eyes of the average citizen. Your choices can make a difference on how history plays out.

Before you ask no you cannot start as a historical character, you could discover said characters in your play-through though.

  2) your friend hates you, what happened is the opposite of what you wanted

Forum Games and Roleplaying / World of Monsters 2.0
« on: March 25, 2021, 10:45:10 pm »
I have done a lot of work on the mechanics of the game that I don't think continuing the old game would be feasible. So we are going to start from the beginning again.

You wake up in a world of monsters. What do you wake up as?
A. Blobs/Slimes: Gelatinous creatures that are easiest to kill, and most prevalent
B. Forgotten: Non-monster creatures that have outlived the rest of their group by at least 100 turns and have not joined another one since
C. Dire Wolfs: Wolves only in name, their size and ferocity is unmatched by their cousins
D. Gobliniod: You'll get to choose your sub-race
E. Dire Bear: Similar to Dire Wolfs only Bears

This is the starting phases, I will wait at least 24 hours before next update. Feel free to ask questions and unlike last time I am not making this up as I go(as with most games there will inevitably be edits along the way).

Forum Games and Roleplaying / A Slime's Life
« on: October 06, 2020, 10:06:23 pm »
Preface:
I know I have a bad track record on running games, but I am committing to twice-three times a week on this one. Tuesdays and Thursday, and if I have availability on the weekends. Votes/actions will end at 5:30PM PST on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if I am able to update on the weekends I will give a 10-12 hour warning. If you haven't posted your action(s)(if this goes multiplayer) then you will idle(unless you inform me that you will be posting late or have 'programmed actions').

Now on to the Intro:
The Bay of Slime, that is what the rest of the world calls your home. There are thousands, if not millions of slimes in the bay area. Occasionally slime leave or mortals enter and when this happens they are never seen or heard from again. There are many skirmishes on the boarder, mostly to keep the slimes in the bay, but the boarder has gotten quite in the last few years and your kind have seen fit to send an explorer to see why. Or maybe you just felt like leaving, only you can tell.

Speaking of how did you leave?
In a group(multiplayer)
Or by your self(SG)

Either way make a character:
Code: (character template:) [Select]
Designation:
Size:(start at 10cm3)
Growth:(0.01 for every 10cm3(modified by stats))
Stats(start with 5 to distribute; 1 per 2cm3):
-Corrosiveness: (how acidic you are; used to fight(+3/1), passive growth(+0.01/1), and craft/manipulate precise items)
-Stickiness: (how well you stick to surfaces; used to be allowed to do certain things(max is 20))
-Elasticity: (how stretchy you can be; used to give health(+4/1), fight(+2/1), and craft/manipulate more items)
-Rigidity: (how solid you can be; used to give health(+3/1), fight(+1.5/1), and craft/manipulate better items)
Essence:(start at 0.1)(maxes at size/10) +0.1 passive
Health: (size/5( modified by rigidity and elasticity)
Fight Power: (size/10(modified by rigidity and elasticity)

Notes:

Also chose a turn format:
A. Turns take as long as they need(subjective)
B. Turns are a set amount of time(objective)

Chose a map format:
1. none(simple and easy, I describe the area your in as best I can)
2. simple(ASCII, just like the game we all know and love started with)
3. advanced(I will be using a map program to draw out the maps, updates will take longer)Ya no this will just give me an excuse to not update

Vote on the starting region:
Swamp: back up is just a turn away for the first few turns
forest: lots of hiding spots for potential enemies
plains: no advantages or disadvantages
hills:tricky to maneuver in, may or may not be passable in some areas

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Medieval Lords
« on: July 22, 2020, 09:38:56 pm »
Hello and welcome to a game based in the medieval setting where you all are trying to outdo each other, and npcs, to become emperor. Though becoming emperor is not enough, you must secure you position as emperor and hold it for 10 turns to be declared a true emperor. Throughout the game you will have to manage your population, resources, and armies to become the greatest emperor the empire has seen.

For the population you have peasants, yeomen, knights, and nobles. You can promote, or demote, your pops as you see fit; with one catch, promoting a pop costs 10 of said pop, though demoting only costs 1 of said pop and gives 1 of the new pop. The different pops grow at different speeds: peasants at 1/10, yeomen at 1/20, knights at 1/40, and nobles at 1/80.

For the resources you have food, gold, troops, and crowns. Each pop produces a separate resource: 100 peasants gives 1 food, 100 yeoman gives 1 gold, 100 knights gives 1 troop, and 100 nobles give 1 crown. Food is used to feed your population and armies: every 1000 pop eats 1 food, consumption for armies varies. Gold is used to buy mercs and to pay your armies: prices vary for mercs and armies. Troops are used to build and reinforce your armies: the amount needed to build and reinforce varies. Crowns are used to influence lower ranked opponents and increase your rank: (10*rank of opponent) crowns to influence lower ranked opponents, (100*rank) crowns to increase your rank.

For armies and mercs you have archers, light infantry, light cavalry, crossbowmen, heavy infantry, heavy cavalry, and cavalry archers. The following spoiler gives the cost and stats of each unit type, armies can be composed of as many units as you wish. Do note that these are for player built armies, mercs will come and go every turn and will have an upfront cost with an upkeep that is 10-20% of the cost.
Order of who gets hit: light inf -> heavy inf -> archers -> crossbowmen -> light cav ->heavy cav -> cav archers
Who hits when: range on round 1, cav on round 2, inf on round 3
Morale is the same as hp.
For the most part attacks do 50% damage to opposing units and 50% morale damage(morale is calculated as an army), a d10 is used for attack damage.

The ranks are as follows: 1(Baron(starting rank)), 2-3(Viscount), 4-5(Count), 6-7(Duke), 8-9(King), 10(Emperor). There can only be 1 emperor, the first player to get to emperor and KEEP the rank for 10 turns wins the game; if someone gets to emperor the current emperor is demoted to duke(rank 7). The other win condition is to be a king and have no other player kings or dukes for 10 turns. That is where influencing opponents comes in, by influencing someone they have to spend that much more to rank up; just remember you can only influence lower rank opponents and only ONCE every 10 turns per opponent. Also you can only rank up ONCE every 2 turns.

Please fill out the following sheet if you want to play:
Code: (player sheet) [Select]
Leader Name:
Rank: 1(Baron)
Pop:(total: P/Y/K/N)(1000 pop to allocate)
Armies: (zero at start)
Resources:(divide the pop that produce's the resource by 100 for starting resources)
-Food:
-Gold:
-Troops:
-Crowns:
Notes: (any notes you want to keep that your ok with everyone knowing)
Example:
Code: ( Example player sheet) [Select]
Leader Name: George
Rank: 1(Baron)
Pop: 1000: 500/200/200/100
Armies: 0
Resources:
-Food: 5
-Gold: 2
-Troops: 2
-Crowns: 1
Notes: Willing to trade food for crowns.

The Empire:
PCs:
Klaus(Baron)(1)
Gloria Springsteen(Baron)(1)
Magnolia von Seckendorff(Baron)(1)
Aywen "Red Baron" Ayes(Baron)(1)
Kreed Lungstodt(Baron)(1)

NPCs:

We have started, New players can join whenever. If you have any question please ask.

The last thing you remember is, well, nothing. You quickly made a nest, and got more to help you grow and gathered some biomatter for a ‘rainy day.’ You are the Swarm, the Swarm is you.

This is an SG about building up your swarm to untold heights on a dreary little planet and maybe one day to the rest of the universe(if this game goes that long it will be a miracle). Some things you might want to know:
Spoiler: Pop (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Resources (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Buildings (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Upgrades (click to show/hide)
More to be added when discovered.

Your current surroundings give you a decent amount of potential biomatter to work with. Your swarm has 1000 individuals in it and you have 10 biomatter stocked up in your first nest.  Your swarm allocation can be messed with. How do you wish to proceed?

The Swarm:
Pop: 1000 total (10% soldiers, 50% harvesters, 20% breeders, 10% thinkers, 10% tinkers)
   100 soldiers(lvl1)
   500 harvesters(bringing in 50 biomass)
   200 breeders(growing 400 pop)
   100 thinkers(getting 1 UP)
   100 tinkers(getting 1 BP)
Buildings: 1 Nest
Upgrades: n/a
Resources:
