Roll To Dodge / Dungeon Rush: A Semi-Minimalist RTD

You are suddenly startled by the blaring of the dungeon's alarms. You leave your room and see the other monsters panicking,  running in circles and screaming. "It's the adventurer alarm!" You hear a monster say. "The heroes are coming! We're doomed!"

You shrug and move to the closest window and look outside. It wouldn't be the first time adventurers come to face the death trap known as the Final Dungeon, the Evil Overlord's fortress of doom located in the center of the desolated Shadowlands.

Everything seems fairly normal outside, and you don't see any adventuring parties anywhere. Even if there were adventurers, you wouldn't expect any to actually survive for too long inside. Then you look to the sky and see the problem.

On the horizon, you see a flying airship approaching. Eclispsing the sun, you see four humanoid silhouettes.

It's not just a party of common adventurers. It's The Chosen Ones.

You quickly join the mass of panicking creatures and await your inevitable death.




You are one of the many mooks and servants of your Boss, the Evil Overlord. Specifically, you're part of the ones in charge of defending the one hundred floors of his largest and spikiest fortress: The Final Dungeon. Your goal is to delay The Chose Ones as much as possible, and prevent them from reaching the 100th floor and slaying the Evil Overlord. No one really expects you to be able to defeat them, but if you did, you would certainly get the raise you have been waiting for these last months.

You have a grace period of 3 turns before the Chosen Ones enter the dungeon. Apparently, they're having trouble landing the airship since there's no water in the Shadowlands.

I will try having a max of 6 players. I'll increase the number of players to something like 8 later if I feel 6 is too low.

(Disclaimer: This is my first RTD, but I have been thinking a lot about this idea and I really wanted to start a RTD. Updates will be either too fast or too slow and mechanics might change midgame for balance. If something is missing in this post, just ask me and I'll probably add it.)

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / The turkey lord

So i was playing adventure mode. Started on a mead hall that was located on a volcano (after reaching top floor i was informed i reached the summit). after killing the old lord and claiming the place for myself i exit the hall and killed a bunch of bandits. After returning i would then be spammed with the same message claiming i was now in control of the place, over and over each time i moved. After retiring him and creating a new demigod to kill some bandits i run into a turkey. i kileld it but after fast traveling i noticed an asterik (*). Stopping fast travel i run into the same turkey. I kill it again but each time i leave the place the * follows me again and the goddamn turkey wouldnt die for real. After killing it for like 17 times i decided to juts ignore it and continue un my quest to kill bandits. I stop to drink from a well in the town and it was frozen and the parts of the well were on the ground (bucket, chain, etc) So i returned from where i came and the turkey was there again. But it was glowing purple so i use x to look at it and this happened

for example, i would like to see either warlocks or gnomes back

i have been modih fifferent types of creatures and i noticed some doesnt show up in the main list but is instead in the "intelligent wildenress creatures" menu. why does this happen?

i keep trying to enable pet rocks from TESB but each time i reload the launcher it gets disabled
also standarized blood was enabled and i had disabled it
any way to fix it?

Can i fully tame them? can they breed and tame the children too? if i have full knowledge of them and my civ too, can i trade em rocs in cages and eggs of them too? will my civ have rocs in their forts too? i just got a breedig pair of rocs that im training with my legendary animal trainer sorry for many questions

DF Modding / specific weapon that affects an specific body part?

i want to make a race that have some creatures that can be instakilled when hit using certain weapon, is that possible? to maje some kind of "soul" body part and use a special weapon that affects it?

DF Modding / self transform as limb regeneration interaction?

if i make an interaction that tranforms a creature into itself for 0 seconds to regenerate wounds and rekove syndromes, would it work? also how i can make npc use it? would they drop the items they wear? would it be used in combat? will it do weird stuff in legends? weird changes like gender can happen too?

im trying to mod a demigod race and want them to have clothes made of a modded divine cloth but i need the raws of them (since they are randomly generated i cant find them) i think they are all the same but just have different names?

DF Modding / secret to transform into animals questions

hello im new and i made this account only to ask this.
so, i have been working quite some time in a creature that can transform into animals using reactions and syndrome stuff about CE_BODY_TRANSFORM but im totally unexperienced in reactions, abilities, syndromes and castes and i cannot get it to work
i want that the creature transforms after a set time about 10 seconds into a bear with 80% chance and if he doesnt transform he then becomes a giant bear, both transformations about 12 hours and a cooldown of 24 hours. they can only target self and can choose from many animals at start.
the problem is that this doesnt work at all as intended and i dont know how to make this work.
also, is possible to mod secrets so they give more abilities like the example i gave before but different animals? my race is going to be related a lot with animals and have a mix of humans and elfs civ (sorry if i made grammar mistakes i dont talk english very well)
