Curses / Military Base
« on: August 14, 2008, 02:59:08 am »If you're ballsy, this is an excellent place to recruit troops and requisition equipment for the Liberal Cause, and shutting it down could limit the military's ability to support a police siege.
Probably necessary if a Military issue comes out, of course, and even if not, Sensitive Records from the place will touch on issues like homosexuality (duh), nuclear power, gun control, policing and genetic research ("next-generation soldiers").

Curses / LCS: "Just a means to an end..."
« on: March 17, 2005, 03:02:00 am »Then it came to me. The ultimate nightmare of any Conservative dedicated to the war against terrorism: A nuclear bomb.
Yes, I know the Liberals are anti-nuclear activists, but they're also anti-gun and that doesn't stop them from going armed, so hey.
I figure that the Libs would first have to enter the Reactor Core (new event space, requires Security unless anyone has a better idea for the skill) after it was turned off, and steal the Nuclear Material (this counts as Treason and Alienates Everyone at the nuclear plant...), then takes some actions Building a Bomb. Once the bomb is built, use it, and another city dissolves in a fireball. (Yes, I know, a real terrorist nuke is more likely to just be a dirty bomb. We can ignore that and do it with a bang!)
Results? Aside from pissing off the Corporations, Police and CIA to the max, I have no idea. It should probably have very wide-reaching effects, though, not entirely positive ones either. Could raise the electability of the user if we were doing Presidential Elections (military threat), and of course raise Nuclear Fear, but if anyone else has any ideas on how it could help...

« on: September 26, 2004, 07:32:00 pm »We need to have splinter cells.
To form a splinter cell, my idea is that one would have to have one Liberal who's directly under the Founder, ideally one who's got a lot of juice and a lot of followers. Then, use the command "Form Splinter Cell." Select the cell's leader and name the cell. The new cell leader all her followers split off to become an entirely new group in another city.
This new group will serve several purposes. First off, the orientation would be either Debating, Activist, Militant, or Radical, starting at any except Radical. Debating groups sit around and argue against the establishment, which doesn't do much...oh, and are involved in drawing in money for the main LCS. Activist groups go out and do Liberal Disobedience on their own, Militant groups do much the same thing as the main LCS (which, abstracted, is quicker and more violent Liberal Disobedience), and Radicals are declaring open war against the U.S.A. and the Liberal Crime Squad (they're too soft to be True Liberals). Every month there's a chance of moving towards the radical end by one phase (which is based on your founder's juice and heart, mostly...a weak leader is going to get the splinters pissed off).
The advantage of the splinter cell is that it, at Debating, brings in money and avoids attack, while at Activist or Militant it changes public opinion on the issues for the better. However, there are several problems with this setup. At Debating and Activist, the cell won't suffer any shakeups, but at Militant, there's a chance each month of the group being attacked and destroyed. There's the same chance with Radical groups, but Radicals also -damage- public opinion on occasion (going on a rampage), and can also attempt to raid your compounds. Of course, you can also do your own raids on Radicals in an attempt to destroy them.
This is all a collection of unformed late-afternoon ideas, of course, particularly the Radical part. Feedback would be welcomed.
