Borrowed a little foundation from MoonyTheHuman, and formatting from Tomasque's design to make this quest. Since this is a weird one, I'll be posting for it during the 'night owl hours' which are from 2200 to 0100 EST (for me). Just a way to pass the time since I work at the park in Five Nights at Freddy's have nothing better to do at work but internet. I'll still internet, but in a semi-productive way! What could possibly go wrong?

You only remember drifting to sleep. Every night, you relent your senses and consciousness to the Sandman. But tonight, there is something else is store for you. You wake up, but it feels like you've woken up in reality. You know you aren't in the...real world, because you're in a dense forest, lit by small orange spheres that cling to every tree, every branch in sight. Everything about you is the same right down to your clothes, only you seem to have a necklace round your neck that you can't say you remember having picked up in your waking life. A simple nylon string that holds a small vial with faintly glowing purple fluid. This forest is beautiful, but what happens next takes you by surprise. Three objects blink to existence in front of you. A sword, a bow, and a staff.

Accept this destiny ...
Beware the Nightmares ...

Do you take one of the weapons?

Or, do you observe them first?

<< ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! ORGANICS ESCAPING FROM HOLDING BAY LEVEL 01! REPORT TO LEVEL 01 IMMEDIATELY! >>

An army of bipedial robots quickly run to and from all points of their large, grey facility. All because three humans escaped from their cells. These three humans had gifts and were no ordinary organics. You are one such individual. Your chance of survival is significant, but it would be higher if you can find the others? It would be higher if you can find the others.

- A small boy who can transform into a mighty warrior. Ability seemingly connected to the sun and stars.
- A teenaged girl with an odd looking white avian as a pet. The creature holds the power to achieve higher forms.
- A post-pubescent female with an inventive nature that is too good for her own.

Two countries. The Imperial State of Arita versus the Republic of Zerse. The war started when Arita (allegedly) broke the WMD treaty. Zerse claims it had "come upon intelligence" that Arita was manufacturing WMDs in secret. So, like any tier one nation, Zerse sent clandestine operatives to infiltrate Aritese soil. But the Aritese agents sent were made, and consecutively killed. When word got back to Zerse, the government (either by delusion or patriotism) convinced themselves that this was a blatant act of war, and the taking of an innocent Zersan life. First there were talks, then there were demands, then the demands became a bit outlandish, then both sides ended up with wounded egos, which led to this. WAR!

You are a soldier of the nation state ...
> Arita
> Zerse
> Ardugo, but volunteering for Arita
> Belka, but volunteering for Zerse

Whose name is ...
> Bay12 decides

And you will be arriving via ...
> Aircraft
> Ground Transportation Vehicle
> Your own two goddamned feet

To a where-the-fuck-are-we part of the round sphere on which you live. The battlefield is teeming with plant life. Just your luck! Jungle warfare! Command has let on in their usual roundabout way that this is 'technically' a guerrilla conflict, but it's really just hyped-up tree warfare. Your strategic goal is pretty straightforward: Take the entire junglefuck territory or attrition the fuck out of the enemy. Easy, if not for the infinite woods that make this thing far more annoying than it needs to be.

So, it's a military action war quest. I'm actually working on a new system I've done off-site which blends traditional single-player quests with the management aspect of nation builders and arms manufacturing ones. Try to imagine Vietnam Era war, but with a bit of sci-fi here and there. Not TOO much, but enough. And here. We. Go.

You're a recently-graduated fireman. As a fresh member of the Fire Department of Multiverse City, it's your job to fight fires that threaten persons or property, and assist in rescue operations where the unfortunate have been injured.

Time to put that training to use. Your station's alarm is blaring. There is a multi-level fire in the Richmond District with several people to rescue from the burning building. Time to gear up and head out!

"Hey! Hey you! Don't you hear the alarm? Get movin'!" One of your colleagues hopes their screaming will motivate you to move with a purpose. They could at least dignify you by using your name.

What is your name anyway?

It looks like "You Are ____" games are popular here, so why not join the borg fun?

You are Samantha Starr, the founder and chief executive of StarTech, an international megaconglomerate with facilities from New York to Tokyo. With friends in the same. In every sense of the term, you are a one-percenter. You love science, if that wasn't obvious already. The study of how things work and how they relate to the human condition? Yes, please. All the science! You created StarTech from blood, sweat, tears (of others) and the dust you accumulated in your garage. It was a long, arduous journey, but doggone it, you did it!

You're known for a few things. One of which is your nickname, "The People's Chief". Given to you because you are senior chief of the company, but you act like an employee. You're most often on the floor (any area where developments are being conducted), preferring it to your office. You even have your own projects! You're CEO 2.0. A new breed in ... you get the point. You're also known for your unshakable foundation, unable to be faltered by even the most powerful countries. StarTech is your life blood. Your baby. And like any mother hen, you'll peck the hell out of anyone who tries to threaten it.

It's not just another day at the lab for you. There is a meeting of the board, where you are to unveil StarTech's latest pursuits. You have three projects to present to your senior partners. Make sure they're good, or they'll look at you sideways. Nah, just kidding. They'll either find another company to fund, or snatch the rug from underneath your feet. Powers tried doing it to Bruce Wayne in Batman: Beyond. If it can happen to Batman, it can happen to anyone.

Without further ado, you prepare to present StarTech's latest developments. Break a leg!

> Public Project/Development 1
> Public Project/Development 2
> Public Project/Development 3

You also have three personal projects of your own that you aren't saying shit to anyone about. What are they?

> Private Project/Development 1

This is a quest I'm trying based on an OC of mine. It's more of a testbed experimental thing with an emphasis on freeform voter input than anything else. Also, (light) mechanics are a thing. Nothing serious. That said, you'll have to be careful in this quest. The world is alive, and will react to your decisions. Samantha Starr is your avatar. What you do happens to her, so think like a scientist! Actually, think like a politician.

M O N A S T I C

You're greeted by an orange--no, that's just the sunlight meeting your eyelids. There you go. Now we're talking! You're greeted by soft, orange sunlight piercing through your bamboo blinds. The sun is at its highest rising point. For the morning, that is. This morning, like all others--most others--are oh-so nice. You swear you have more energy in the morning than you do at night. The sun's warmth creates a feeling that can only be described as an oxymoron. Its warm embrace both invigorates you and yet, calms you, tempting you to return to your bed and let the bliss of sleep carry you away again.

Time to get up. Yet another day of life as a monastic. You glide over to your clothkeep. It's where you hang your robes.

  • Wear the red robe.
  • Wear the blue robe.
  • Wear the orange robe.
  • Wear the purple robe.

You have way too many robes. Enough to wear a fresh one every day of the year. What is it with robes anyway? In your early days as an acolyte, you heard talk of others. They called themselves mages, but some knew them as wizards. Their robes were interesting, to say the least, though you had to admit that monastics wore robes more pleasing to the eye and to the body. Theirs were dry and itched the wearer. Now you're getting carried away in your thoughts. Where were you? Oh, right! After you put your robe on, you head to the kitchen. It's the same as you left it the previous night. Made of hardened earth clay with a rich, terra cotta colour. You take a quick sweep. Everything appears to be in order. You don't own much so...nothing to worry about in that regard!

  • Make some tea.
  • Make some egg-like-not-really-eggs-though eggs.
  • Skip breakfast and visit the garden to meditate.

Spoiler: Um, stuff? (click to show/hide)
