DF Modding / Child/egg manufacturing?

Howdy, I'm seeking a way to have a race who can/must craft their young from the materials of their dead.  I was wondering if a reaction was available to permit egg-smelting or somesuch.

Is this yet possible?

DF Modding / New civ/race genning issues

[EDIT]The issue is with the creature entry, upon further testing, but I still cannot find said issue... Creature entry has not been changed, as of yet, and nothing shows in the errorlogs (all that shows in the errorlog is the minweaponsize for the drakish club). The drakelings themselves will not spawn. It seems there is nothing wrong with the civ entry.[/EDIT]

I have been developing this civilization race for some time, now, and only recently have I come across the issue of them not spawning at all. I have checked the raws to no end. If I could get some help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I thank you beforehand.

I am curious about this... Is it possible to cause a weapon to deal damage via venom extract directly (not using extracted venom, but the weapon itself using it)?

I would like blowdarts to do something other than *poke* the target and irritate it mildly. It would be useful, even if it was cave spider venom, but GDS or GCS venom would be better.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Interesting discovery

This has probably been discovered before, but in searching for the magma pipe on my map, I was able to locate it without actually "discovering" it. I decided to dig down, via ramps, directly atop the magma pipe itself, and that is when it happened:

I discovered the magma pipe without even opening the chamber. The miner cancelled the "dig ramp" designation, with a warm stone located notification, and the magma pipe was revealed!

Maybe I'm just over-excited about this.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Dwarven Item Ownership?

Okay, I have been searching for anything on this for some time. Maybe I'm not looking "hard" enough, but it is nowhere I can find (yes, it is not on the wiki, for dwarven inventory is not addressed for fortress mode)

I have an issue with items owned by my dwarves, in fortress mode. Is there any way to remove an item from ownership without slaying the owner? I want to trade away/destroy/dispose of/melt items that my dwarves remove from their persons due to wear, or any other circumstance.

I have been beating my enemies with the complete, non-dismembered corpses of other enemies, and I have found that whole corpses are usable as bludgeoning weapons that improve the skill of wrestling; however, the skill increases gained while fighting are just as unreliable/reliable as using any given weapon to raise its given skill. I don't know if this is a glitch, but it is a way of gaining wrestling without actually wrestling.

Have any of you found this to be true as well?

DF Modding / New Civs/Races won't make items

I've been having issues with two civs I made, specifically the latter one, both with their own race (I might put it back to both the same race, if that is possible. The problem is that the second one will not have any furniture or items in the town, so you cannot trade with merchants (the game crashes if you try) and the civilians just mill around. No doors, tables, beds, weapons, etc. Items will appear on the inhabitants of the civs, but that's it.

A fun side-note, the drakeling civ has a tendancy to use either crap metal OR adamantine.
