In the init, is the invaders toggle a one time deal? Or can it be turned on and off at my leisure?

DF General Discussion / Df can be brutal, but...

So apparently, the German media is reporting the school gunman left a note on what appears to be an German language image board(4chan). The site denies this, and posts what they believe to be the only relevant posts from that day and time. My German doesn't exist anymore so I won't try and translate it, but check out the image.

EDIT: I guess I should have searched first. Nothing to see here.

Should the sheriff, or I guess more so, the captain of the guard be activated? or left as a civilian?

DF Gameplay Questions / marksdwarf training

Is it normal that my elite wrestler is choosing to spar with his crossbow raising his hammer skill as opposed to just shooting the target? I have plenty of bone bolts and an active roomed target.

DF Bug Reports / [40c] OSX - furniture stockpiles
« on: August 22, 2008, 04:40:26 pm »
So I started my first fortress with 40c after figuring out the partial print flickering stuff. Everything is going pretty good. Not as fast as 40a, but still much faster then the previous releases. My problem starts when I removed my first furniture stockpile I used during my initial bed crafting, which worked as it should, and created a new one indoors; which dwarves seem to ignore. Furniture piles up in workshops, and remains outside from when i removed the old piles. They still recognize the furniture though, so its not a game stopper, but fairly inconvenient for me and those cluttered workshops.
