DF Modding / Help needed - RAW tileset

I'm trying to make a full tileset, and I just started and made a folder in raw/graphics containing my bmp.

I made the appropriate changes in graphics_example.txt:

[TILE_PAGE:DWARVES]
   [FILE:retro/retro.bmp]
   [TILE_DIM:16:16]
   [PAGE_DIM:3:1]


I load up my saved file, and the game loads the bmp from the example folder instead of my retro.bmp in my folder called retro.

Do I need to do something extra to enable my tileset in a save?

DF Modding / Need a little help with new creature (pet barrel)

I'm trying to add my first creature to dwarf fortress, the idea is that it's a living barrel used as a pet, it can be killed for wood and booze.

I've come this far:

How do I go about the body design? I haven't really figured that out, will my current setup work or do I need to add a brain, skull and everything else too it? And how do I make it so it's body is made out of wood and has booze for blood? Many thanks in advance =)

DF Modding / Tileset with no ascii?

I was just wondering if there is any tileset/graphics set that has graphics for EVERY thing in the game so there is no ASCII graphics at all? If not, would it be possible to combine different sets?

DF Gameplay Questions / Bathhouse?

Okay, the situation is: My dorfs are filthy and needs a bathhouse where they can clean themselves and relax with some booze and a bar of soap. I have a river which is perfect. My plan is to dig out a room with a big pool in it. But how would I go about stopping my fortress from getting flooded?
I have only 1 experience with floodgates and that's when I made a pond in my courtyard, I made a hole in a murky pool and thusly filled the pond, but the whole courtyard was flooded. And once it was drained I built a floodgate so I could control it the next time if the rain fills it up.

DF Modding / Tips on fun stuff to add?

I'm in a bit of a runt when it comes to comming up with items to mod into the game. What ideas do imaginitive people have? =)

So far I have : Headbands, clubs, toy rattles, toy action figures and Urist's cube. (dwarf version of Rubik's cube)

DF Modding / Religion?

Looking through the entity_default.txt I noticed that the elves can be druids, and that they had responsibility:religion. How does this work?
And, can it be added to the dwarves and edited so they have a priest and a holy meeting place of sorts? I can really see dorfs worship random things such as gem gods or alcohol gods, hehe.

Well, I managed to get my first successful fortress and I got bored with it after a while so I figured I'd add some new things to keep me interested.
First thing I wished for is more weapons so I have a question about a club:

DF Modding / Using custom tileset?

I'm working on a custom tileset and I have a few questions on using it. Do I simply copy the bmp into the DF/data/art folder and then change the
[GRAPHICS_FULLFONT:curses_square_16x16.bmp] to whatever the name of the bmp is or do I need to edit something more?
