I killed a wolf, to my surprise i was able to pick up its blood and put it in my backpack -in unlimited supply, i had 50 'wolf blood' in my backpack, I could throw it, causing impact damage and leaving a couple tiles of splatter of blood on the ground -the puddle in center of which could be picked up again. I also found that i could drink this blood, and attempting to 'd'rop one blob of it from your backpack caused the pack's contents to empty on the floor, the food and loot dropped could be picked up again but every last drop of blood turned into a static smear on the floor. This blood can also be bartered with...
Dragon blood sells for 15 dwarfbux a drop.

My second fort of the new version breached a cavern, a year later a forgotten beast (a winged glob of fire) killed all 89 dwarfs living there, a reclaim group was made (to my horror the old reclaim organization menu is no more) and full suits of armor with swords and shields brought with them, as soon as the map loaded i made a squad and set each dwarf to put on the default metal armor uniform -none of them did so. frustrated, i sent them all to fight the hard-mode SoF with their bare hands -they died of course. 3 reclaims later the same thing was happening again and again, swordsmen, axemen, crossbowmen -none of them would arm up.

So, after getting a tad bit bored with DF (Armok forbid) i decided to check out the other games on Bay 12. LCS looked good so i downloaded v3 on bay 12 itself. having enjoyed that for a few hours i checked out the forums to find that there is a newer version. i downloaded and ran it in nightmare mode, as i am studying 1984 and like the concept. i sent out my character out to earn money the supposedly legal way -only to have him tackled off his bucketdrums by a deathsquad and promptly capped.
I see the same concept of fun passes through all toady's games
