DF Modding / A few questions

Ok so lets ay i have Caste A and Caste B with both male and female dwarves. Can I stop caste A from breeding with or making caste b?

I tried very hard to increase skull resistance to (Jamming the skull through the brain and tearing the brain) so I can...make the combat longer but all has failed. any hints?

Is there any way to increase the amount of food a creature needs to eat to satiate?

For example a -Short Sword- versus a

=<-short Sword->=

with like menacing spikes of troll bone and hanging rings of dragon leather?

I had my war chief (millitia commander) just beast three ambushes at once with his "upgraded" sword.

Now ive never ever had any good results with battles before so my guess is yes. Can anyone confirm?

so i made a new item

and changed the entity file so that...

[GLOVES:ITEM_GLOVES_Nordic Chaingloves:COMMON]

and it still shows up as a foreign object to them any suggestions?

also having trouble making bodkin arrows unforeign

So the title speaks for itself how do i weaken projectiles in the raws?

My editing those dont seem to work...

This for me is a gamebreaker.

So i know how towers work above ground but lets say i dig above the underground entrance and channel in the ceiling to create a gap how do I get it to work?

They cant seem to shoot through the fortifications...

Ok i know history happens during world gen such as contries doing other countries in elves getting struck down by everyone else :)

but i wonder does ANYTHING change once you start playing?

as time passes in your fort does the rest of the world turn?

I ask because i was trying to make the dwarf fort like the one in the lord of the ring (i forgot what i twas called) essencially start a fort right next to a human town. When i did this the humans just kinda sat around and did nothing so i was curious since i never thought about it.

I know this may sound riddiculous but my captain of the guard was fending off an goblin ambush and i like to pause and see what injuries he inflicts and i looked because he was injured and bedridden the whle time he was using a wooden sword.

He lopped off a goblin's arm with a wooden sword!

Hello I have just started playing dwarf fortress like a few days or so ago. Im not much into video games but when i was searching for stuff about D&D i came across this and started playing it.

I didnt stop playing I would look outside and it was already the next day. I layed down and i heard the music in my ears and i saw green and blue pixels floating around before i fell asleep.

Well since this evil little thing consumed my life I thought i should spend some time here.

I hope everone here has a goo day.
