DF Modding / Cannibal's fort - Where's the booze? (SOLUTION FOUND)

I'm trying to mod some DF for myself to make getting rid of the Fortress Defense bodies a little easier. I've modded the dwarf entity files to make them cool with eating sentient creatures and I've decided I won't do any farming unless there's an emergency (I might try to mod it so it only brings very low quality food as emergency rations). I intend on this being a meat-only fortress. Which brings me to my problem:

Where's the booze?

I figure I might be able to mod in some blood ale but how would I go about doing this? Bones are also a huge problem so marrow beer might not be a terrible idea either.

For someone (like me) who is not familiar with all the fancy combat calculation shenanigans, how do foreign weapons stack up against the things our people can make? Is having a lasher team at all a benefit? Are swords better than scimitars, hammers better than mauls or maces better than morningstars?

In the past I've gotten water and snow FBs. They all went down fairly easily with a few bolts but their corpses always brought syndromes to my people.

I've just shot down a "quadruped composed of flame" named Lish and he's left 5 " Lish's flames " in the cavern. Is it safe to have my dwarfs pick these up and do something with them? Will they combust?

Not sure if this helps, but "Lish" burned the entire cavern he was in, filling it with smoke and ashes. He was also hot enough that he boiled off a small lake that lay between the fort and his location.

I removed the [PET_EXOTIC] tags from the helmet snake entry and replaced them with [PET] so I could tame them, yet the snake doesn't appear in the Tame Large Animal list. Do I need to regen a world in order for these changes to take effect or am I missing something?

My refuse stockpiles have been filling up with mass amounts vermin corpses. After a while, I noticed the problem was that that lizard corpse halfway down the tenth row HASN'T ROTTED IN A YEAR. I haven't seen miasma in a long, long time. Nothing at all rots anymore, in any of my forts. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

I have the habit of checking the hospital every so often, just to see what's going on. It started with one kid, then a couple cats, then one of my militia captains, and it's been spreading. The general symptoms start with "Advanced Rot" on both eyes, then the entire body swells up. When one of the cats bled to death, I checked over the body and found forgotten beast extract, forgotten beast blood, and dwarf pus. The pus seems to be the only common factor between the blind, the most recent only has it on their right foot.

My doctors keep removing the rotting eyes, so I haven't had any dwarf deaths yet, but I'm getting concerned about the growing blindness amongst the dwarves. What do I do? We've got plenty of soap. Should I flood the entire fortress to ensure it cleans (because that will never go wrong).

How do you folks deal with disease?
