A long time ago, in a mountainhome far far away...

"Cheesemaker! Halt!" The Queen shouted to a passerby dwarf.
"But Ma'am, Im a mechan-"
"SILENCE! Bring me seven random dwarves."
"Why?"
"No of your buisness. Now HURRY UP!"

10 minutes later...

"I selected your dwarves Ma'am" The mechanic told the queen
"Very good, now be off!" She replied
"Fine dwarves, I have hand picked you to go and establish a new colony far to the north. I hope you all like the cold, because this colony will be established on a glacier filled with rotten creatures."
A dwarf stood out from the pack
"Why must we go?" He asked
"Our population is to big, so we need to send these dwarves far away so they wont bo-...I mean because I love you all, heres a map and BE OFF!"

"Before you leave, I have already named the place, Fiercecrystral, NOW GO!" The queen said before all the dwarves walked out of sight.

And by wilderness I mean forest.  ;)

In lue of all the ASCII and survival games up on the forums, I decided to do something too! Behold, A SURVIVAL GAME! I did do something like this yesterday but almost NOONE decided to join, so im gona change it up a little bit...

Obligatory backstroy: You followed the mystical rainbow unicorn into the forest and now you are lost.

IMPORTANT STUFF!!!!!!1!!11
Gameplay: You basically make a character, and tell him what to do. Your success in telling this character what to do is based off your skill percentage relating to that item. Say for example, you wanted to craft a spear, using a bit of wood. Since your crafting skill is, say, 30%, you have a 30% chance of succeeding. If you fail, there is a 25% chance that fail is of the EPIC variety, meaning the items you were trying to use were destroyed or damaged. Every action you do will increase your percentage. Everyturn takes 6 hours, so keep that in mind when you are posting your turn. You may want to post individual actions with times next to them. And dont forget to eat healthy, drink clean water, and sleep off the ground, because the realisim in this is going up to eleven

Character sheet: This must be filled in to join the game.
Spoiler: Fill this in! (click to show/hide)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting surviors:
1. Demonic Spoon. Purple.
2. Taric. Blue.
3. Joe. Red.
4. Zak. Yellow.
5. John R. Bear Green.
6. Lilipad Teal.
7.

Waiting List:
NONE!

Map: Your Ascii map comes in the fist update!

An extremly cold forest filled with danger and excitment! Will you survive?
Protip: A tagia is a freezing forest.

The Backstory: You and a group of friends are traveling over the north pole in a state-of-the-line jet. Everything is going well, until the jet hits some turbulance. Before long the entire crew is plumetting towards the ground. Cold, hungry and stranded, you need to survive this wastleland.

The Gameplay: You have control over a single character (Character sheet below), and need to prolong you inevitable death. The game is played organicly, meaning no map until map is found, no shelters until someone comes up with a reliable idea, and no tools until someone uses common sense. However, the likelyhood of you succeeding is determed by a 20 sided dice. There is no fail, just a bigger success the larger the number is. These rolls are affected by your "status" which may be positive or negative and "skills, which are discovered along the way. Because you have to discover everything, you need to just use pure common sense. Every turn/post takes eight in-game hours. An example might be "3 hours gathering rock, 4 hours tracking animals, 1 hour relaxing".

How to come up with blueprints: When you want to invent something new, like a tool, or shelter. You need to state the materials, and the amount of them, and the prosess of making them. You need to be logical, or otherwise I will go GM wrath on you (Not really :p). Say for example you want to make a rock spear. You would spend 1 hour coming up with the idea (For everything) and then another hour trying to make it. You then say something like "Grab 1 normal stick, 1 sharp rock, and 1 cordage item (In this case we will use tendon)" Then say something like "Tie the sharp rock to the tendon". If succefull enough, you will have made a new blueprint, and this can be made at any time with the items.

Refrence: In a normal game, it will take forever to state everything your character is wearing, or his entire item set. This is wear a Refrence comes in. To make a refrence, simply state once what the refrence is, and what items are contained in the refrence. Then put a * next to the refrence so people know that it is. For example, this game starts with the refrence "Standard Clothes*". To find oout what this is, simply go to the the refrence tab in the OP. Status and Health Refrences don not get the *

Roll To Dodge / The Fantasy RTD: Turn 1 - WOW! I frigen' updated!
« on: December 05, 2010, 05:32:21 am »
All Roll To Dodge set in a fantasy setting. The game will play organicaly, so everything will start simple. Simple characters, simple gear, simple everything! Once you do more things in the world, you will add more to the game, e.g. finding a map for yourself will give you a map of wherever in a PM every time the game is updated. Like all Roll To Dodges, there are no rules, so go NUTS!

Background: No one has studied the history of the world yet.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / You choose my next forum game!
« on: December 02, 2010, 09:52:17 am »
I had no idea if this was meant to go here or not, so please dont rage me.

Basically, I REALLY want to do another forum game, and i have a few ideas in mind, and i don't know which one to pick, so you people of Bay land shall pick!

The Ideas!

The Outcasts: Siberia - I survival game in, well, SIBERIA! Players will do things such as gather resourses, build shelters, and try to survive the bitter cold of this snowy wasteland.  Many different skills shall be involved, such as Hunting, Carpentary, Metalworking, Cooking etc. However, not all skills are told at the begining of the game, so players will need to do a action to unlock it. Death will be common, almost as common as the arguements that im sure will ensue.

Horde - A monster survival game which will keep on going until the death. Players will choose starting skills and will have to protect themselves and others of the waves of increasingly difficult monsters. Traps, buildings and trenches can be built by people with the appropriate skills, aswell as "Special moves" that come equiped with the players speciality e.g. a sniper can do an instant kill. Game will keep on going until everyone dies.

Lost Colony: 2341 - A small squads tactics game in which players are all part of a squad. Every player controls are single soldier with individual skills and abilities e.g. Medic, Sniper, Flamer etc. and are given objectives to complete by the GM (me). As the title suggests, players will be on a shattered colony located on a moon base, so yes, this is set in space. Everyone will need to work together in order to complete the task at hand, and not be brutaly murdered by whatever is out there.

Pink Onion Unicorn Bread RTD - An attempt at trying to make the worlds most random RTD ever, or prehaps most random forum game ever. Players do whatever they want from there first post onwards, and those are the rules.  There are no character sheets, just names, location, inventory and status. Death will be common, most likely because someone killed someone else with their invisible cow.

Poll up top, and give suggestions, thanks.

Well yes...Im having an idea here that will ensue lots of FUNTM.

This will work like a succession game, but only with an adventurer and his loyal group of followers. What im worried about most here, however, is that adventurers are soft, squishy organisms with a love of wolves. This will be using the current 31.18 version of DF, with all of its bogeyman goodness to follow. People will have 2 weeks in-game days to do as much as they want in this adventure. All the standard stuff will ensue, World gen, Randomized character name etc. If the player recruitment becomes stagnant, then you may ask to replay the adventurer for another 3 days.

DF style rules.
1. PLEASE DONT KILL THE ADVENTURER ON PURPOSE! Thank you.
2. Please, Please PLEASE use images.
3. Have FUNTM normal fun.
4. Kill the elves! Well, not really, if you dont want to...
5. Like succession games, try to make a story about it. Same kind of style as other succession games, basically.

Player list.
1. MrNuke (Current)
2. EvilTwin
3. Canaburst
4. Yoink
5.
(More numbers for more people)

Will add  World Gen and Character creation once people join! However...we will be starting from the bottom, as peasant. Inform me 3 things when you post/join . A) Favoured Skills etc B) Favoured Attributes C) If you would like to play or be a recruited person that joins us on our adventures

Roll To Dodge / RTD: The Challenges - Challenge 2: Very Hostile
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:43:54 pm »
Roll To Dodge: The Challenges!

I have always wanted to do a Roll To Dodge, so here it is!

The format of it is that there will be a series of scenarios, like crossing a bridge or escaping a toad's spleen etc. Each Challenge/Scenario will have 5 players, and if you want to play when the current challenge is full/ in action you will be on the list of players for the next challenge once it starts. If you successfully complete a challange, you will get some kind of bonus next time you play. If you die, and trust me, you will, then you get to fail at life (Not really, but you wont get any bonus plus perks next time you play)

This is a game, in which random things attack you, and you have everything in the world to defeat them.

Gameplay:
1: Everything in the world attacks you, and everything that doesnt exist yet, will attack you.
2: You imagination is the weapon, when something attacks, you can use ANYTHING to attack it with. (No nukes or Chuck Norris, though)
3: You can submit your defence at any time. No joining required.
4: Everything has health. For example, an UBER TANK might have 1000/1000 health. You chip away at the health of anything by using your awesome weapons.
5: The fort has health too. The fort has 10,000/10,000 health, different enemies have different strengths, meaning they destroy the fort at different rates. If the fort dies, stuff will happen. (Will decide when the time comes)
6: You can repair the fort. Every time you repair, it heals 500 fort health.
7: All damage and repairs get calculated every time I update. If every enemy is destroyed, a new set will come along immediatly
8: Enemies have different abilities. e.g Ninjas can dodge attacks, Giant frogs can eat rockets lock flies.
9: Random events will happen, e.g. CRITICAL HIT, extra damage, or CRITICAL FAIL, you damaged the fort.

Rules:
1: You can not post two or more defence/repairs before I update the game. One action per update.
2: I decide what happens, not you. If I decide that your mega machine gun laser thingy completly misses, dont argue with that. (I do use a random number generator to decide most things.)
3: Try not to post the same defence twice throught the entire defence.
4:NO CHUCK NORRIS OR INSTA-KILL NUKES!!(Mini nukes are fine though)

Well then, Lets get started!

Invasion 1: Tank division inbound
Tank 1: 200/200 health
Tank 2: 200/200 health
Tank 3: 200/200 health
Tank 4: 200/200 health
Tank Commander: 400/400 health, Ability: Other tanks get damage bonus while alive. Thicker armour and more powerful cannon.

PROTECT THE FORT!
