DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Ice Bees
« on: June 17, 2013, 03:00:04 am »
So I started up a new embark today, and look what I found sitting on the frozen river!

Yes, that is a colony of bees that have made their nest out of ice.

Whether it's a bug or a quirk of worldgen I don't know. This is the first Fortress of the world.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to save these bees, as the Ice will melt come Summer and I can't construct a floor without destroying the hive.

DF Modding / Raptors Arsenal
« on: July 01, 2012, 08:48:01 am »
Exactly what it says on the tin.

At its core, the Arsenal is not meant to be a Mod. Rather, it is a resoruce that modders can use to bring a bit of detail to the militaries and combat of their worlds.
You are free to use anything within the Arsenal, but please remember to credit!

Weapons are broken up into three categories:
Simple - Most of the vanilla DF weapons fall into this category. Battle axes, shortswords, spears, whips and the like.
Complex - More interesting weapons such as halberds, bastard swords and scourges
Exotic - Civilisation-Specific or weapons from 'exotic' places of the real world such as India or Japan.

Ammunition Variety
Bodkin, Broadhead, Armour piercing, they're all here. For the OCD guy who wants to have ☼detail☼ with his military.

Siege Crossbow
The bigger, the Dwarfier. This fine piece of Dwarven engineering fits right into that. Enjoy eviscerating some goblins with it.[/spoiler]

If you would like to contribute by adding a suggestion or giving me some constructive criticism, I would highly appreciate it.

Next Update?
Whenever the next Dwarf Fortress update comes out I will test it and update as necessary.
The Machining update will most likely be finished around the end of July, IF I get enough time away from University work.
