As I understand, it should be possible since the february update.

When my axelord came to loot the abandoned fortress "Beerbelch" I found a lot of dwarfs still living there. I even recruted 2 axedwarfs and a marksdwarf as followers.

Its this normal, or am I just in luck?

Some dwarwes cold be prone to adultery.
If at dwarf in a romantic relationship cheats with anotcher dwarf, the offended part will be very sad and angry. Chances are for som FUN, exspecially if the offended dwarf is a legendary axedwarf.  8)

A human caravan guard had the nerve to go to the caverns and kill one of my forgotten beasts.
Years later a dwarf made a pig bone figurine]pig bone figurine of the episode. I sold it to the next human caravan for 40¤

DF General Discussion / Copyright regarding Screen shots from Dwarf Fortress?

Hi. I'm an librarian writing an article in Danish about Dwarf Fortress for our library website.
I like to known if I'm legally allowed to use screen shots from DF in the article. I don't want to email Toady because he is a busy man. So has this come up before? Am I allowed to use pictures from the game, or should I resort to using freeware general fantasy pics?

Just to be clear. My workplace is strict about legal issues and doing things by the book.

I never checked.
It just hit me. If your playing a community fortress and some how catches an elf merchant in a cage trap. Then you train her up to legendary baddass in the danger room and release her to the next player who deicide to do the elf slaughter routine.

It could be nice if its was possible to build a goblin, elf ect. head on a Menacing spike‎. It should tab the willpower of your enemies and give good thoughts to dwarfs, if placed outside.

Hi. Im fairly new to this game.
Im setting up my first danger room. When I am about to connect the spike traps to the lever I also get the choice to connet it to an upright adamantine short sword way way down on level 6. Have you ever experieced anything like it? And this really something I should not know about, conserning circusses and clowns?  ;)

Suddenly all my dwarf dicides not at to drink anything and die. i have 45 bodies and counting.. I have a nice river in front of my gates. its like the dwarf only want booze and I think am out of plump helmet seeds at the moment.
How can I make the dwarfs drink the water?

DF Gameplay Questions / Help! My Lazy Newb Pack cant start dwarf fortress

Hi all!

When I press the  "Play Dwarf Fortress!"- button I get an "directory name is invalid"-error. Its as there is something wrong with the newb pack shortcut.

I want to use this pack, because you can turn off aquifers. For some reason all evil biomes are paired with aquifers when I try to find at fun spot to embark.

I hope you can help me.
