Erlith, the shining beacon of hope for the world, has been consumed in fog and darkness. Those that have gone inside haven't come back. The world is attempting to reorganize, a series of small outposts have been established outside the borders of the fog, and things seemed to stabilize... until things came out. The skeletal forces that had taken hold of the city rode out, laying waste to most of the outposts surrounding the city, and soon afterwards consuming them in the same fog as the city. Nobody still knows how it all began, where they're coming from, why it's happening. Yet something must be done. adventurers are gathering, various governments are recruiting, convicts are being given an... alternate... death sentence. old, retired soldiers are coming out of their retirement, yet there's no cordination between these groups. even in a crisis, people are still people, and have trouble trusting each other. old rivalries come out of the woodwork in people's times of need, and so the only hope left is that a few individuals, or small bands of people, can manage to do what one would expect to be done by armies and legends...
or is that how legends are made, anyway?
So, having taken a break, made some life changes, and gotten myself resettled, I think I'm ready to try my hand at GMing again. I've debriefed myself as to what went right and what went wrong last time, and I've decided to make a few changes. Same world, and if anyone wants to bring their characters from last time back, that's perfectly fine and you might end up with some advantages or PMed information to show your veterancy. however character creation is going to be a little different. no numbers at all this time, just descriptions. I'll adjust the difficulty of rolls as I see fit to match your character archetype.
to apply, I need you to fill out a basic character sheet. The complete one isn't necessary to get in, but it'll make it easier for me to understand your character and adjust rolls to fit it accurately. You can make your character as strong or as weak as you'd like. And although I need a lot of detail so that I can understand how your character's magic works, I'm fine with you bringing a lot of magic with you. If you want some piece of advanced technology, you can almost certainly have it, just make sure to include it in your inventory.
There is no limit to the number of players at this time.
Updates will be once a week. Conversations, minor actions, or actions of players separated from the party may be run faster and/or separately from the rest.
Game start will be once I have 4+ character applications and have the time to run a starting turn
