I have been playing DF now for 2 or more years and I have seen how it has changed. But the one thing that puzzles me is that you have wood burner to make charcoal and ash. What happens to the ash from the forge, smelter, and kilns? They all use charcoal and charcoal turns in to ash when it is burned. So what happens to the ash?
