This is my first time hosting a community fort. Starting this to both improve my creative writing skills (not a natural eng blabber) and DF knowledge, so bear with me and feel free to lend a hand

I generated a small world with medium history and minerals everywhere. I'm basically trying to keep stuff as simple as possible, going with whatever the RNG trows at me. No careful embark picking, revealing underground tiles via Dfhack or anything like that.
I mainly draw inspiration from the world's legends. I try to stay as true as I can to the actual in-game lore, adding my own elements to a limited degree.
Playing 34.11 (
Extended LNP, but otherwise no game-altering mods).
RulesNot much really. Just a few points to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
- You can pick a dorf from the following list. First come first served
- Posting thoughts about events/life-in-the-fort from your dorf's perspective is encouraged, though not mandatory. You can ofc go with fully fledged journals or diary entries if you want
- Personalizing your dorf to suit your likeing is great (i.e. adding richer personality, backstory, agenda, etc.)
- Diverging some from the dorf's thoughts&prefs is fine, but you are not allowed a 180°, nor going against anything I previously established in the story. You are supposed to make the story more interesting and fun for everyone, rather than breaking it for your enjoyment only
The Blockade of CloisteringDorfs available for dorfing are marked as
available. Caps of thoughts&prefs and skills are provided.
If anything major for the character is established during the story, I'll add that as well. Please adhere to the canon if at all possible.
- Mikot Scalewires, Expedition Leader ♂ (not dorfable)
He's a dwarf of humble origins from Syrupclinch, where he attended the Royal Academy of Superintendence and Bureaucracy.
He received a mysterious letter which would play havoc with his life.
He doesn't like heavy work and will usually try to avoid fatigue if possible. He loves history with all of his heart, but he's fairly weak on architecture, geology and military tactic.
- Uzol Giftedlabor, Miner / Mechanic ♂ (available)
He's a bald and sickly looking dorf.
He's pretty surly. It seems he doesn't like Minkot or Såkzul much, although he would usually follow orders, if petulantly.
- Zon Lengthmountains, Metalsmith / Miner ♂ (available)
Zon is a discreet dwarf of few words. As a result, not much is known about his origins and background.
He's an adequate smith and it looks like he was instructed with formal geology.
He showed an interest in history. Minkot was intrigued by the fact Zon could read a book, which is uncommon for the average metalworker.
- Cog Peakcopper, Stoneworker / Architect ♂ (available)
Cog is a funny dwarf who served as a medic before dedicating himself to stoneworking and architecture.
He's very cheerful in all situations and always prone to jokes and mockery. His attitude makes him fairly inscrutable and overall he looks like someone who knows more than he's willing to show.
- Zuglar Scorchabbey, Hunter ♂ (available)
An ever serious dwarf with poor self-confidence. He's a very talented pathfinder and tracker who has traveled the wilds far and wide.
Zuglar is gradually developing somewhat of a strong relationship with Såkzul fueled by mutual respect.
- Rigòth Heavyrelics, all around Farmer ♀ (available)
Rigòth is a hard working dwarfess of rural origins. despite her feebleness, she proved to be capable of carrying out all kinds of taxing jobs involved with self-sustenance, from plowing the earth to cooking and everything in-between.
Her personality and habit of candidly speaking about dreadful things in an emotionless tone makes her somewhat of a weird figure.
- Såkzul Realmsgorge, Axedwarf / Teacher ♂ (dorfed by XxHyde840xX)
Såkzul is an awe-inspiring and very muscular dwarf who has been a soldier since his youth. He served in the regular militia and had some experience with preparing new recruits in advance of rigorous, formal training.
His ability to explain himself in words is seriously challenged. Otherwise Såkzul is a very honest, trustworthy and loyal companion. He seem to go along with Zuglar, probably because he showed to be a valuable dwarf himself.
