Here it is, a Terrifying, its called The Gory Jungle (yes I know it says conifer, but lets bend a little shall we?)

I'm bored, extremely. So in response to my boredom, I present a short story. The idea is to write a story about a recent happening in your fort. Then if people decide that it falls under TL;DR. Write in laymans terms what happened. Sounds dandy? Righto, I'll give it a start.

In the depths of the night, a voice rang out. Echoing down the hallways of the mountainhome.
"GOBLINS! A SIEGE IS UPON ON US!" cried the Look-Out up in the Archer's nest. The Military took to arms, the Siege Operators took their positions, readying their Ballistae. The Goblins peaked over the hills and charged the ramparts. Arrows flew, Ballistae Arrows rained down. The Swordwarves, Speardwarves, and Elite Wrestlers came roaring out of the main gates, which slammed shut behind them. Cutting off their only means of escape. The Ballistae arrows missed their marks by inches, the first wave of soldiers slammed into the advancing ranks of the Goblin troops. Green skinned arms and legs flew in all directions, as blood splattered across the rocky ground in a sickening graffiti. The final sword swung wide, cutting off the head of the last Goblin Bowman. The army cheered, having lost only one casualty in the battle from a stray arrow. Suddenly, from above came the sound of several traps being triggered. CLANK CLANK CLANK CLANK, THUD, THUD!
"They've come in from the above corrid~" an engineer screamed before an arrow burst forth from his chest. A lone Champion, having finally awoken from a deep slumber; He climbed the steep steps leading up several levels to the side entrance. A flood of goblins poured down the slim hallway. He looked past the green skin horde and saw a single human and several swordsman captured in cages. He bellowed with delight, and met the first Goblin. Leaving nothing but chunks. The Champion laughed, his armor became soaked with Blood as he tore every Goblin, limb from limb....

TL;DR Version:
In the winter of the <no> year of my fort, I was sieged. All I saw was two groups of Goblins came in from the valley where my main entrance was. So I turned my Ballistae to face West, Put my Archers in their perches, set my army out. What happened was a quick battle, resulting in one death. What I forgot, I left my 4th story side entrance opened. And thats where the Leader of the Gobbo force was. He stormed in first, and got captured by cages along with his top swordsman.

Please Note: I speak in the past tense. My fiancee accidentally deleted my Fortress. She didnt know how to quit the game, and she really wanted to play WoW -_-'

How the hell do I switch what level I'm working on? For that matter, how do I build downward or upward? This is the only thing that's really preventing me from enjoying the game. I feel ridiculously stupid  

Would making a wall or door out of Iron/Steel make any difference as opposed to a Rock Door or Wall?

Anything special I have to do? I'm trying to transfer a game over to my current computer, but every time I check the game it isn't there. I transfered the whole save folder over from the other game, replaced the one there, I even tried renaming the region folders (region1, region2, region3)
