DF Adventure Mode Discussion / How many kills do you have?
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:02:26 pm »
So, what is the greatest number of things you have killed in adventure mode? Personally I have 200 kills on one adventurer, about 100 notables and 100 not. The notables were mostly bandits but a also a dragon, a minotaur and a few titans and the non notables were mostly zombies.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Deadly Dust everywhere
« on: October 26, 2013, 03:48:32 am »
So I've modded goblins to be playable and have cities. I decide to walk to this city the goblins have. When I get there the entire city is fighting each other because they are all different races from kidnapping or something like that. However that isn't the most interesting thing. There is paralysis-causing deadly dust popping up everywhere. I know that goblins civs can have Clowns for leaders and that they can use deadly dust attacks, but how can this one have it everywhere in the city?

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / High Priests talk to Deities
« on: October 25, 2013, 07:54:27 pm »
Recently I was playing around with DFhack's adv-bodyswap command to get out of a hole that I was stuck in when I used it on a priest in a temple. Using the priest I walked around a bit and I went to talk to a fisherman. Then I saw this:

At first I wondered why there were three deities on top of a fisherman but when I moved the cursor over to empty space they were still there.
Priests can talk to deities directly. If you go and actually talk to them it comes up with Greet and Nevermind. If you choose greet it will crash the game.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Random Rot
« on: July 23, 2013, 03:10:39 am »
I was walking around and decided to visit a volcano. However when I got there a message came up in the combat log, saying that my companions and a giant raven or something fell over. When I looked at my status screen it said everything was rotten. What happened?

DF Suggestions / Fix disabled dwarves
« on: January 28, 2013, 07:31:37 pm »
Hi everyone,
Have you been annoyed about dwarves that have spinal damage and can't move?
Well here's a solution!
Cyborg Dwarves!
Well, not actual cyborgs, that wouldn't fit with the fantasy theme. Instead people would gather the corpses of dead bronze colossuses and iron men and use them as shells to transplant disabled dwarves into. First you would go out and kill one, then take the corpse back to a metalsmith's workshop (they wouldn't turn into statues), where it is converted into the correct sort of shell for a disabled dwarf. Then you would be able to select the dwarf to be converted in the hospital screen. A dwarf with the "Surgeon" labour assigned to it would be able to operate on the dwarf, putting his head and internal organs inside the shell and throwing away limbs.

The dwarf would be good for military (acts like always wearing a full set of iron/bronze armour) and would have high strength but this would be balanced by not be able to be happier than "Fine" (due to being trapped in a cold metal shell). Rampaging cyborg dwarves are not good.

So what do you think of my idea? Is it too sci-fi? If it is it would always make a good mod.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / "Deity" in a human fortress
« on: January 28, 2013, 12:01:41 am »
Hi guys, I'm new here. Anyway I was walking around in a pocket world I made when I came across a fortress. I went inside looking for some loot and soldiers for hire. The fortress had books randomly strewn around the entire fortress. Lots of books.
Say 50 or more. These are just four of them.

But that's not the strangest thing. This is:

It appeared to be a Physical God until I did this:

It's an opossum demon. I've heard of demons ruling civs if they're twisted into human form. But this one has a tail and is pretending to be a god! It even acts like one as well as not ruling the civ, just standing around in a fortress, saying it's a law-giver.

So anyone have an idea how this works and why there are books everywhere?
