Dwarves:

could write digests of books they've read.
could write books w/annotations
could contrasts and comparisons btw books

If I've designated dwarves to be scribes,scholars,performers in other forts they'll emigrate to my new fort as that profession.
Is there a way to either designate a dwarf as a monster slayer or have them emigrate as one?

DF Suggestions / Combine Designate and Burrow and/or activity zones

My suggestion is when you're designating dig, gather plants, chop tree the brush could also define a burrow and/or activity zones.

As it stands after you dug out a room to be a tavern/temple/library/pen/yadda,yadda you need to go back and define that area again with the zone brush and similarly with the burrow brush.

The change would eliminate the redundant actions.

In the manager profile for automated jobs it'd be nice to have one of the checks be population.

"If population is at least 37
and drinks are less than 148
then brew 30 jobs"

Where do I go to view the reports of the raids?

I can't find it on the (c)ivilations screens, the (a)nnouncment screen, nor (r)eport screen.

From the dev page for the next it seems we will only be able to send squads to raid sites. Is it too late to add the ability to patrol a neighboring region to intercept FB's or simply scout for the next update?

If an item had negative wealth a fort would give a trader the item and extra items worth positive wealth. When the economy is up and running this could lead to necropolises--forts that specialize in burying the dead in catacombs and/or tombs for a price.
