didn't want to go over board, if I added khluies and washints it would be rather interesting. . . I tried adding all the "normal" instruments first, avoiding things with outrageous titles and stuff like steel drums and tin whistles that had materials prefixes. Though I'll add more stuff like didgeridoos and tom-toms. Also, should I add [soft_mat] to stuff like bag pipes, or should we just use them to bludgeon the elves?

It seems that deleting those files in the data/objects
seems to have worked. I am sorry if people are annoyed by
the problems my name cause (not sorry enough to change it
however). But several of the animals are still not appearing,
though I have searched high and low for them. The 'pyre deer'
which should have a veil of fire around them and should be

DF Modding / 'Phantom' animal effect

While personally modding my game to replace
normal animals with unique monstrosities
(like size 17 bears) to boost difficulty
I found that after removing the vanilla animals
from the raws and replacing them with my
'fun' versions that no matter haw many new worlds
were generated the vanilla animals remained, with
the new animals completely missing.
Mark that there is no trace of the regular animals
left in the raws and that the new animals are
(to my knowledge) perfectly functional.
Is there any reason for this effect
(like backups in the hard code) or is it
impossible to replace a vanilla with a completely
new creature. I haven't seen this problem mentioned before.
Help?

DF Modding / Prepared Food mod

This is a beta of prepared food variety,
It seems to work well. . . no crashes yet
and many wonderful discoveries
(Dwarven rum cake anyone?)
I am still trying to expand on this,
so any food that can be both savory or

updated to have some race specific instruments,
elven harps and the like.
Changed some names, English horn to gnome horn,
French horn to shrill horn and the like.

It's true that I really didn't adapt these to the DF universe. . .
and until there are specific codes to specify wood, metal or stone
there will be +microcline lutes+ and *steel kazoos*
with menacing spikes of goblin bone.
I might have to through the list and edit the names to be more fantastic
