If we take over the universe then what use do we have for gods? We'd basically be the gods at that point.

Forum Games and Roleplaying / Time Traveler's Convention
« on: October 29, 2020, 10:29:47 pm »
We are all Time Travelers. Post something that seems like a sensible question to the answer posted before you.

For instance:

Player 1: 42.
Player 2: What do you get when you multiple six by seven? Mount Everest.

I'll start:

Stephen Hawking.

I lost interest. My apologies. My contact information may be found in my signature.

Do you have any particular ideas for any of the other continents, also have you looked at the other proposals that we submitted earlier, and do we need to work on them?
I think that I'll be more likely to accept ideas if they have proper capitalization and punctuation.

9
Should we start suggesting things to go in the horror continent that meat those ideas?
If you want. There are also the other continents to consider.

10
So like you open a door and a bunch of spiders pour out, you get scared then all the spiders go away?
Yes. The idea of the horror continent is horror, not death. The continent is not specifically out to kill people. It should have some dangers, all of them should, but it is not inhospitable. People can still make a living in this continent. It is just a horrific one. Like an outsider might be horrified at the blood waterfall that has no discernible source but the inhabitants would be accustomed to it and tapped it for their hospitals to use. The cultists might seem evil but the unspeakable horror that abducts their "sacrifice" and precious metals is later discovered to have been an eldritch being who acts as a guide through the otherworldly highway.

The continent should seem fraught with horror to outsiders but actually offers some unique opportunities for business and invention.

Neither. More like termites and other insects but with less structural damage to the objects. Imagine buying a house and in the middle of a really bad time insects swarm out of the walls. They don't do anything except scare the residents. The point isn't to put anyone in danger. Instead the point is to be scary.

DF animal people are basically people with the heads, some other features, and traits of the animal they represent but otherwise they function like people, the closest thing you could get to a visual representation of what I'm saying is probably the movie Zootopia.
Ah, I see. So not furries?

I'm thinking for ambience in the horror continent sometimes little creatures live inside common objects and come out during inopportune moments.

Fact: Animal People for the Atom
The Atom Continent is host to a variety of Animal People (Like the animal people from DF) there's a large variety of different species of them, but there are no bird or fish people.

(The Atom continent makes me think of all those 50's sci-fi movies, with there nuclear powdered everything, which makes me think about fallout minus the apocalypse.)
I don't actually know a lot about DF, despite being on a DF forum. Elaborate?

Yes.

That is the idea that this continent is supposed to evoke.
