And lo, the EU sends us back into the Dark Ages.

Thank you, EU, for cementing EU-skepticism in my mind, you vile cretins.

It still needs to be ratified in December. People need to get active before then. If you live in Europe contact your MEP, if you don't live in Europe sign a petition or donate to an anti-web-censorship group like the Electronic Frontier Foundation

My point still stands. The net in my country is censored. It's not like I will ever be a political activist (the only people the censorship would affect).

No, that's the thing, this proposal as written wouldn't censor things on a political basis, it would basically end fair-use protections for Intellectual Property, and therefore make things like memes, covers of songs, any photo that happens to happen a logo in the background, etc. non-viable. And it would be done by an automatic system to make sure that there was no common sense to how it was enforced.

The European Union's trying to censor the internet, what's the world coming to? :(

Apparently that crackpot EU internet censorship law is being voted on again. If you live in Europe for the love of God please call your MEP to oppose it

I heard it was a false alarm that other time. I won't fall for the prank again.

It was rejected the first time it was voted on, but they're voting on it again and conceivably might pass it this time because it's more under the radar so there's been less public outcry. Plus the crooked record companies and so forth that lobbied for it have doubled down on their lobbying.

Think apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic, but not in the usual "post-war blasted wasteland" sense- rather, a world that has just steadily declined due to corruption, pollution, and the collapse of government/order.

So like Wall-E?

I'd like to see a mod that replicates the setting of the classic 4x game Master of Magic

I'd like spear hunting too. I've always wondered why hunting was crossbows only.

This would definitely make the game more realistic but I can also see how it might make parts of the game annoying. If it is added it should be able to be toggled on and off

I would like to be able to make custom multiple key keybindings where neither of the keys are modifier keys.

I have a wireless keyboard that for some is designed without some of the normal modifier keys (there's no right shift, for example) and it would help me immensely if I were able to bind key combinations using the slash key instead of the shift key

DF Suggestions / Minimum Volcanoes =/= Maximum volcanoes
« on: June 10, 2016, 02:38:10 pm »
It would be nice if the game could be set to generate more volcanoes than the bare minimum to not trigger a regen. Instead of generating exactly the minimum number of volcanoes specified I would like it tlo keep placing volcanoes until it either runs out of squares with 100 volcanism or reaches a seperately specified maximum.

Number of generated volcanoes = Minimum Volcano Number, as long as you have at least that much squares with 100 volcanism (if you don't, you will get rejections).

So in other words "Minimum Volcano Number" is actually "exact volcano numner"?

Is there any way to make it show only citizens and not guests? I'm bad at filter scripts.

How does one go about generating a world with a lot of volcanos? I thought setting the minimum volcanism really high would do it but it didn't seem to.
